The mods and exhaust upgrades will probably make your car flat as a pancake pre map, wouldn't be suprised if it felt a little slower.

Anyway let us know how you get on, looking forward to seeing your dyno readouts

Yup it has definitely lost torque low down and in the mid range, or so it feels anyway. But saying that once its high in the revs it pulls like a train!

Cant wait to get the map done, because my last car once it was mapped had over 300 torques and i miss that!!

    I wish i had a torques :(

Pfft all it does is make my dashboard shake when going from 1st to 2nd, need more torques :(

Are you planning on a remap??

Yup 3/4 of the way to getting new alloys+a set of 225/40/18 Goodyear F1AM2's, not cheap tbh but a good first mod i think. Then need to find a second hand dreamscience handset (or steal dar's) and then my indy will be tinkering with my exhaust system after christmas, handling mods then next year.

    Saving sucks :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,344 ✭✭✭gollywog

Cool cool, in fairness its hardly like an st is underpowered anyway! :)

Ya i hate saving too, but was just thinking today this is what ive spent so far:

Milltek catback - 600 ish fitted

    Downpipe and decat - 250

    K&N panel filter - 40

    Revision G diverter valve - 48

Im sure theres more but coming soon is remap, new suspension as mine is KNACKERED, new 18" rims and im toying with the idea of getting my front andback splitter and skirts painted red.... whoops pink i mean!!

Wheels are expensive if putting on good rubber, oh you will see :p

I just want to get started on the fun stuff like decat+de-res pipe and handset

Got the car and wheels washed today and it started lashing rain. It stopped after a while and I said I'd try out my latest purchase - Demon Shine. Yes, I have been fairly harsh on this product in the past and today was my first time using it. I was very impressed.

I only got the driver's side of the car done when it started lashing again so I gave up.

Demon shine works great for the price, as you know can be picked up for pocket change. Its great diluted with water in a watering can and poured over as a drying aid if your lsp is starting to lose its sheeting ability

Thanks man! Any idea of a good dilution ratio?

If you used a proper LSP, you wouldn't lose sheeting ability :P

Gave my astra and my mums octavia a quick clean this evening after work. I hope to give them a proper full clean in the next few weeks. A few pics below

Thanks there is some advantages to living in the country plenty of space. Its really messy but if it was cleaned out you would easily fit 4 cars in it. Nice to have shelter when cleaning the car. My favourite feature of the whole garage is the electric door nice to be able to press a button and the door opens itself. Five years later I still think the door is cool.

They've really started to fall off the cliff for me now. I cannot put my foot down in 1st or 2nd without the car going scitso. Still won't lose grip on the bends though.

Jesus dude, you really now how to make me feel like I'm neglecting my GTI, yours is 2 years older and yet looks brand new!

Ha ha nice one man, thanks :)
