Fronts. Though I think the rear is the same fitting. Not 100% sure about the pins in the rear though. Tbh, I'm not 100% sure about which pin to connect to in the front either. A guide I found suggests 2 different pins.

Am I getting this wrong but are we talking a passat CC here?
If so, Are you saying it has no lights in any doors?

Passat cc, yes. And yes, no lights in any doors, only reflectors.

Where were you until now. I've searched for ages to find those at reasonable prices and there you go and crush the price I eventually get.

It's that just a set of 2? The 'car model' options are a bit confusing. To get all 4 doors done would I need to get 'four doors for front and rear' ? And 2 pairs of leds?

    Oops.. Sorry :P

That is just a set of 2 for front doors. If you choose the drop down option you will see
    4 doors front & Rear (2 pair ) + €20.78
    so
    €23.09
    €20,78
    €06.92 > shipping
    =========
    €50.79

Have you got under seat/dash lighting?
May as well get those while you are at it :P

I might just go with the garage parts (since ive them ordered already and they wont take weeks to arrive). Ill install the 2 front door lights and if that goes well ill probably put in an order for the back 2, some nice LED (for all 4) and an Interior light kit and footwell lights. And a "trunk" light while im at it.

The questions, 3500k warm white light or 6000k hyper white light?

I have the interior of my car done with LED's.
I went for hyper all round

    Interior kit came from Superskoda
    The rest came from Ebay
My next mod is to replace the puddle lights in the mirrors on the doors to LED,
    Footwell lighting
Interior door handle lighting from the L&K Octavia.

Hope these pics will help you decide on what you want.

Are the LEDs much cheaper on ebay? Talking an extra $47 on bold-sport for 4 hyper white LEDs for the door lights. Assuming im going to use the kit the VW garage gives me they'll be regular bulbs, so ill eventually be replacing them.

Have a look here and choose whatever you need at minimal cost ;)

I changed plates lights as well. Did it today.

    After:

And i finally changed front fog light bulb (gone about 2 weeks ago)
    Before (wink):
    73256114.jpg

    After:
    56001319.jpg

And when i was changing plates lights i also cleaned that covers for it. Clean it outside and inside.
    Before (left), after (right)
    24047670.jpg

Unfortunately the dirty one (was on left in the car) is burned/broken for some reason. But it's not falling and doesn't make any changes with light power so i left it. Have more important expenses than little plastic :)

Next step is changing the lights inside a car then clean it inside and the last: wash it outside and polish an exhaust. But all this in few weeks :)

Thanks, it produces a nice image! Keep meaning to get a decent camera and never get round to it.

This will be the last mild week we get I reckon, so winter-proofed the car this evening with a polish and fresh coat of wax, can't believe its been 10 months since I did the last job.

Managed a full wash, rinse, dry, full clay, dry, machine polish with finishing pad and compound, Autoglym wax and buff in 3.5 hours exactly, good going!

Uupss... i didn't think about it.. stupid me. They won't check it anyway : D

My next step was cleaning interior. Vacum and cleaning + protecting:

    Before:
(mats on front were not original from Mercedes, rear one were original)

    43389435.jpg
    10176671.jpg
    42461110.jpg
    17756893.jpg

    After:
(passenger mat is original Mercedes one and it's back to the car, driver mat is missing : ( bought car without it. Planing to buy AMG mats one day)
    99941467.jpg

No photos of passenger side but it's look even better than driver one because it has original mat : )

    Armrest:
    Before (everything in it):
    68002464.jpg

After (Scissors, remote controls, key no 10, pen and spare bulbs:
    47834618.jpg

    Boot:
    Before:
    87270047.jpg

    After:
    78979924.jpg

    Seats:
Driver one is after cleaning and the passenger is before:

    95117224.jpg

But there is no different visible on photos so here is a cloth after cleaning:

    30906781.jpg

Shame on me to drive by car dirty like this : (

And here is what i used to protect an interior:

I know it's says BMW but who care if it's working : D

Finally got around to fitting interior leds after having them sitting here for weeks!

    Pics are crap sorry

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,865 ✭✭✭✭MuppetCheck

Are they blue or white? I have them in number plates and puddle lights but would be nice for the interior as the normal ones are muck.

Also if they are blue they will clash with pink surely?

Ya that is a savage bit of kit in fairness man. 30gb Hard drive and ya can stick in an sd card too which is super handy :)

Not yet man, was waiting on the intake but had problems with it so i just settled for a panel filter so i can go get it done asap!

The mods and exhaust upgrades will probably make your car flat as a pancake pre map, wouldn't be suprised if it felt a little slower.

Anyway let us know how you get on, looking forward to seeing your dyno readouts
