    Ah right.

    You have my sympathies so!

Those Navan drivers are a weird shower.

They are a bit like Cork drivers, I blame it on the bizarre one way systems both towns have.

Have yet to find anything to beat the three sided double roundabouts in Portlaoise though!

That confused the hell out of me when i was going to the last meet, and the section after where it looks like you have driven into a housing estate :pac:

Don't start me on the ramps from hell either

    Where was this?

There are multiple three legged double roundabouts in Portlaoise

The ramps are worse where there are houses tbh.

    Monster creatures.

Yeah the OH has two kids in third level both get a grant, but they haven't said anything about it not coming through, hopefully they have got it, will check tomorrow when they are over.

It's a shocking thread to read.

I'm doing a Masters part time at the moment, am blessed my college allow me pay my fees monthly over the academic year

Don't forget if you are paying tax and paying any sort of fees it'd deductible at the end of the year!

I'm getting sick of the run flats, the ride is very bouncy and the steering wheel can often jump out of my fecken hands.

I'll be going with Michelin PilotSport PS3s front and back as recommended by diesel boy :)

Best thing I ever did was get rid of the run flats. I'm back on them at the minute (got a crack in one of the rims so took the 19's off and have my 18's on at the minute) and the difference is crazy.

Thankfully JKC came through for me and I got a new rim FOC.

Runflats arent usually asscociated with "bouncy rides".. they transmit shock and vibration like nothing else though.

PS3s are no longer top dog, though still excellent, if they come up as similar price look at the second gen Goodyear Eagle F1's.

They have a customer for life out of me as a result of replacing my wheel. So many things they could have rejected if for (kerbing, non runflats, out of warranty and not the original rims that came on the car)

I picked up the new rim yesterday, it looks like it has been redesigned. My old one was straight the whole way across.

Too many back roads around here. A heavy foot and front wheel drive on soft tyres does not a long life make.

Same is happening my f1's man :(
Have them about 3 months and they are disappearing at an alarming rate lol!
I'm of the opinion that when you factor in fitting and balancing, you're just as well off to get your tyres locally than to get them from camskill. Often times it can even work out cheaper to get them locally and you don't have to worry about "who'll fit them for me" or anything like that.

I also agree with this, just takes a bit of phoning around, you will find a deal.
Try getting Goodyear premium tyres in Galway for €165 though :p

Just ring around man, thats what i did and got a great price!

I've never had the michelin, but the goodyears are the best tyres ive had in my ten years driving, and by a country mile at that, had pirrelli, bridgestone, vredestein (second best btw, awesome tyre!) and continental. Also some cheaper stuff!!

Any motorsport fans here might be happy to hear Craig Breen has just become SWRC World Champion :D:D

He only went and done it. Craig Breen became SWRC (Super 2000) world champion. Craig has had some huge highs and devastating lows since he won the WRC Academy championship last year with his friend and co driver Gareth Roberts. Sadly Gareth lost his life in an accident on a round of the IRC last June. With the support of the Roberts and Breen families Craig showed huge courage to get back in a rally car partnered by Killarney's Paul Nagle and to be so quick straight was unbelievable.

He came back in Finland and was leading until he went off on the third last stage. He bounced right back and took the win in Wales followed by another win in France.

He went into this weekend having to finish in front of PG Andersson and he done it. He is the SWRC champion. Incredible drive all year from Craig such a deserved win.

Lets hope he will get the recognition and sponsorship to continue next year.

    Well done Craig.

If the engine was rebuilt last month, new N.C.T last week and taxed for three months last week, would it not be worth more then 900? I dont really like the colour though.

In relation to buying tyres online I find there's little or no savings with 15/16" tyres but once you hit 18's there can be big savings. ;)

I wonder what happened to this. I'm pretty sure the same car was for sale a few months ago (the pink sticker is a giveaway). Can't see the number plate and "no reasonable offer refused" doesn't look good! VVC or hg problems perhaps!

It's a nice car though and 160bhp from a 1.8 makes the 120bhp 1.8 in the same car unappealing. Only 1 mpg between them too on the official fuel consumption figures.

I found this to be an interesting read :)

I don't think I have the space.... Don't mention Mr Lobbs 306 either, that's lunacy!!!

The price of the ones I got on the MPS were the same as my local place and the shipping was cancelled out by the fitting and balancing. They were 18".

Good to hear suppliers here copping on. I would imagine they got hit pretty hard the last few years, especially with most cars coming with bigger rims these days.

Anyone know of a car trimming specialist (trimmer?) near Dublin that would be able to do steering wheels?

I remember reading about a saddlery company in Kilkenny that specialize in re trimming steering wheels. The name escapes me but the work looked top notch.
