Personally itd be KW or H&R, in that order, then again I'm not an expert of VW's

Same as what most people say!
    I don't know, I really am stumped.

I'd chance the cheaper kit if I could be sure it won't be unbelievable bad...

It probably won't be shocking, but if there's even the slightest bit of doubt or niggle once you install it, you'll forever be thinking "if only I spent the extra bit". If you're going to do something do it right, IMO.

    Also, I just spotted this:

    http://www.mister-auto.ie/en/promotions.html

Up to 60% off on most things, and an extra 5% off using autumn promotional code

Can someone explain something to me, for the last year ive been browsing Donedeal hoop dreaming about buying an Accord. They've always been very high priced as I assume Accords hold their value.

In the last week though nearly all the Accords ive seen have taken a massive price drop. Is this in fear of the new Motor tax hike?

Three cheaper kit will probably feel the same, but won't put up with the abuse of Irish roads as well as either of the other two.

The H&R kit comes with a years warranty too, not sure about the others.

No, it's just that these cars didn't make what the sellers originally thought they would make and then the prices were reduced ;)

So, I went to look at a Mercedes today. An E270 cdi. Lovely car but we couldn't make a deal :(

Pred, is that the gadget that you put a pipe into the dipstick tube and then you pump out all the oil?

    Yep,
My sump plug is fcuked (had to be tightened with a hammer and chisel at the last service coz the young lad made a balls of opening it and we didnt have a replacement)

It works, I just pumped out 2 litres of oil from my sump in about a minute:D

Probably wont use it on my car (new sump plug ordered for next service) but will be handy for the forklift etc;)

    Edit: http://www.amazon.co.uk/ProPlus-580220-Oil-Drain-Pump/dp/B004R1PVKW/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1352830319&sr=1-1

It was this one, same one is available on ebay at 35 pounds + postage for buy it now and strangely enough all the auctions end up at 35 quid too :)

46021 is not a valid plate number, so whatever vehicle you see it on, give it a wide berth

30948 is currently valid and matches the vehicle registration

    Licence Number: T30948
    Licence Type: Taxi
    Licence Status: Active
    Licence Expiry Date: 12/11/2013
    Vehicle Registration No.: 09MHxxxx
    Name of Licence Holder: <snip>

However how many people spotted that one of them has the roof sign on backwards, in fact ( no googling/No taxi drivers ) how many know which one is correct?

I thought it was strange that there was a yellow space on the right side. But I thought it was just me.
