Take The Blue Oyster Cult CD and burn it with petrol, then run over it in your car and then feck it into the Atlantic with a rock tied around it....

    Please.

I don't have their CD. I just love the one song. That one. Everything else is rubbish to be honest.

Point is I was waiting for it to come around to zero but missed it. I can either reverse 88 miles or drive on another 99,911 and wait for it to come around again. :D

That's it. It was played on that scene and also featured on a revamped edition of Good Morning Vietnam.

It's a fine tune to drive to I suppose. Feel good.

I was listening to Junkie XL Check your basic groove on the way home. If you ever WANT points thats the song to help you along the way! :(

I really got to get one big photo of all three Alfa's in the driveway. All three are so clean that I was thinking today I should. Only problem being I'm stuck in work until 9pm tonight...:o

The song played in that scene in Policy Academy is El Bimbo (ie not BoC)!

This is a much better BoC driving song:

PS: Im not actually some mega BoC fan, but credit to classic hard rock in a world of pop where due.

Why does parking in St.James' hospital cost so bloody much? Been there for at least 2 hours a day for the last 2 weeks, it's a fiver a throw, I've taken to parking in Rialto now and walking in. Wouldn't leave my car outside though so it means driving the van over the weekend.

Although the car is having the current gearbox and suspension removed before I stick the ad up, not selling it with the box that's in it, it's a nicely set up box for Mondello, well it will be once I change the final drive

Yeah, parking is pretty steep up there, a relative of mine had terminal cancer, it made things for her husband even worse having to spend so much money there.

I suppose they are afraid of the all day parkers using it and walking into town, well I'm sure that's their excuse for ripping off sick people and their relatives

You can take the Luas I suppose, but it isn't practical for everyone

Not for me anyway, I go from work and I work in field sales, (no, I don't sell 'fields' smartasses :P ) to my Dad and have been ferrying his changes of clothes and other bits n bobs. Public transport wouldn't cut it and plus I don't want to put my mother through that. Patients should be given a pass or something tbh, it can't be easy for a lot of people

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,552 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

I think they give a pass in some cases.

    That's awful.
You'd think they'd facilitate folks who are there in such circumstances. Mum passed away in a hospital, one of the nurses gave us passes for the cars as we were there more or less round the clock for a period.

I worked in James' Hospital years ago.....if times on your side, you'd prob be better off just parking it illegally (not blocking ambulances, etc) and remove their clamp..they used to use the old DCC ones that are piss easy to get off.;)

A pass for immediate family members makes sense. Hope Gary ITR Snr is alright btw... :)
