I must get back in to that... must see can my laptop run it. Though The Sims is the most evil of games. Needing to have "friends" to get a promotion in your career is so irritating, especially if you're trying to grind a career to lvl. 10 so you can make enough money to have a bitchin' house.

My favourite thing to do is to start with a character that's just turned 18, use cheats to give him 999,999,999simoleons and then go on a spending spree. Buying all fancy furniture and fast cars and having a three story house. :)

If you just need it short term you could get a months free trial of Sony Vegas Pro, it's a fantastic program.

Medicine is great, I was all like: "Gah, I'm sick!" and then medicine was all like: "Not on my watch you're not!"

    Thanks medicine, you're the greatest.

I usually play a family get bored. Make a new family. I can never play out a generation from the start. I'm trying to do a generation now but in my own way. I'm starting off with a family of two grandparents , twin adult girls , another girl and another adult guy in the same house. Then from there I'll start the generation. I usually try and get them to at least lv 5 before turning te aging off. I'm going to stop using aging off. I'll see how this generation goes.

I used to just use the money cheat, build a stupidly extravagant neighborhood, loads of people.
Then turn them all against each other and watch the world burn

I got a guy from being a teenager, to moving out of his parents house, to marrying and having a kid. I got bored of the kid in about an hour, and restarted.

Further proof that I'm not father material I think. :pac:

Yeah I stopped playing when I had babies, one would hope my real life should not follow the same path.

I usually hate when I have the babies and toddlers in sims. My aging is always off so I have to age them myself . I've started switching households when there is a baby/toddler I hate having to try and teach them to walk/talk/potty train. I did at the start it becomes hectic or boring when your sim has no job because it's on maternity leave and if you have another baby it becomes extended . I lowered the days for everything now so the lifespan is much shorter. I'm going to try and stick with this family I have and create the generation of them.
The main family house is funny and the grandad is a evil sim it's hilarious to watch. This family seem to keep starting fires they've had 3 so far .

Aw that happened to me last year with my favourite family. I got a new laptop and I tried copy the files over. I couldn't get it to work and ended up losing the family. I had a rockstar sim and an athlete at lv 10 . Just make a new family you'll soon get attached to another.

I can't play the Sims until we clear some of the memory on our computer, it's pretty much full and says the game mightn't run as well with so little space. Even when we had loads of space I was scared it would damage the computer, broke our graphics card before even though I'm almost sure the graphics card we had was the right kind! It's an evil game.

no you don't. What happens is you think that something interesting is going to happen, but in reality, you just end up building a house the whole time. You won't even like the house, because you couldn't find the right colour of kitchen tiles, and you accidentally built too many rooms to fill.

This is true. I spent an entire week trying to design kitchen cabinets, only to eventually give up and take the boring standard ones.

I also wanted to create a prison, but you can't lock the Sims in in Sims 3. :(

Simon and Will's characters look too cool. Neal looks like a stoned rock star from the 90's and I don't know what the hells going on with Jay's character.

I think Jay's character would be made fun of by the original Jay. That's definitely not a good sign. And it I only realised after the video that Neil's the long haired guy. There is so much wrong with it, they should have at least made their own jokes instead of just re-enacting the entire original storyline. And yeah, Simon and Will are too cool, and Will's a bit too good-looking for the role! :L

It'll be interesting to see how it turns out, I don't know why they haven't wrote new material, they've messed up the casting completely and I can't imagine that Jay doing or saying any of the things that the original jay would have said. But maybe it'll be funny....
