Ever so slowly my phone is on the way out.

A couple of the keypad buttons fell off during my birthday back in March, and now it's reduced to this sorry state:

The keypad no longer has any keys and I've no idea where the cover went. Buying new phones isn't something I enjoy, but it's a bit embarrassing using this one in public. Overheard a snigger earlier.

Dude... you do know there are phones out there for like 40quid that are pretty decent? Why have you let it get this far...

You'd be hard pressed to find cheaper than this! :P

Further to my earlier argh, I also just priced some replacement batteries for my laptop. 30 on amazon for sh1te one, and 58 on a battery site for one twice the size. $:\$ Decisions....

Didn't get to Croke Park in time to hear The Vaccines. </3 Going to listen to a lot more of there music anyway, the stuff I've listened to so far sounds really good.

And just to add an extra aaaaarrrrggghh, Noel started playing one of his band's songs, and everyone (myself included) got all hyped up 'cause it sounded exactly like the beginning of Wonderwall. It wasn't Wonderwall.

How could you possibly say that with any certainty? There are plenty of people here who post "mirth" for its own sake. I must say, your habit of making assumptions other posters really doesn't reflect well on you.

As a thought experiment though, let's assume you're correct in thinking the poster was looking for thanks. Your claim of "fail" is still horribly flawed. This is a small enough community, especially compared to a forum like After Hours or CVPL. The number of thanks a post gets is subject to the number of visitors that see it as well as everything else.

Did you honestly expect a humorous complaint about a mobile phone, posted after midnight, midweek, in a quiet period for a small forum (post-exams/holidays) to get a massive number of "thanks" in the ten and a half hours before your pathetic attempt at a wind-up? Pull the other one.

In other news, the new boards layout is pretty and interesting in a non-Facebook-timeline-what-the-hell-is-going-on style.

And on an arrrrrrgghhhh note, I was doing some work for my uncle today and it turns out that lifting stuff all day is hard and now I hurt.

AH! The 'preview post' and 'submit post' buttons (unless I'm being silly) have switched places! I preview like every post to make sure it doesn't look stupid (probably still does :P )... This could lead to a horrible drop to my already-average posting standard! Good heavens!!
