My sister bought a ukulele today. This is good, I'm all for it. The problem is she can't play it (not that that's her fault, she's just bought it) but I've been appointed teacher cos I play guitar. So I've spent most of today listening to her butcher the poor little instrument and my head huuuuurts.

Also awkward girl stuff is awkward if quite amusing.

Whyyyyy do I make an ass of myself every time I try to speak to a girl I like! I try to make too many jokes which don't work or I try to sound interesting and it ends up being something like.. I dunno.. "I have a really well organised filing cabinet. Call me."

But I can't believe she still friendzoned me!! What a jerk!*

    *(I don't actually mean that... :P)

Meant to be going to a party with all my friends I haven't seen in ages but I don't think I'm gonna be up for going :( I was looking forward to it so much and all. And we're meant to give one of my best friends her surprise birthday present from us all tonight and I reeeally don't wanna miss it!

My flight to London was delayed by like an hour. It was meant to be at 21.55 it didn't leave until 22.30. I was there from 20.30 and by myself and was waiting ages. The plane also took longer than usual then there were queues for 15mins in the passport control. I wouldn't have thought it would be packed at 12am. There were like thousands of people.

So far this morning I've discovered that getting only 5 hours sleep and then waking with a bad sinus headache feels almost exactly the same as being extremely hungover. Cheers body, I've always wanted to know that!

Sky Arts only gave Biffy Clyro 3 songs. And one of them was Many of Horror. :(

Not a happy reticulated python. :(

Said something out of character, out of context, which may have insulted my friend about one of their family members, and now my mind is going out of control with guilt. But I think I'm better off saying nothing as it may insult them more if I brought the subject up with them, hopefully they just think it was an off-the-cuff remark in no way aimed towards them, as it wasn't, and then they never think of it again. But I know well that from now on they're going to be thinking about it, and it will always be something they associate with me, even though it was a spur of the moment comment.
I fcuking hate that I get so guilty as well.

What a glorious time to be at work >.<

In hindsight, should have gone to bed earlier! :P

Is it acceptable to delete friends who you use to be really close with, but who cut you out of their group for unknown reasons, and keep posting loads of pictures of them all hanging out without you and yet every time they talk to you they act all regretful about how we "never see each other any more"? Or is that against facebook etiquette?
Sometimes I wish we'd just had a massive falling out, I could get rid of them all and I wouldn't have to wonder why don't like me any more when I go on facebook.

I will actually delete that thing some day

Decided to go with a massive cull. My facebook friends list is now comprised of only family and people I speak to regularly.

Went to see if our turf was cut tonight, and the amount of rubbish dumped on the bog was absolutely disgraceful. I saw 3 couches in ditches, and some fecker dumped rubbish all along the lane down to our plot, and at the entrance to ours and 4 or 5 others. I'd say there was at least 25 bags of stuff there, not to mention the prams and other big things around, the smell of it was horrendous, and it's undoubtedly now a haven for vermin, it sickens me.

Relax. The Junior Cert is totally meaningless and will have no impact on your life whatsoever.

Ahhh god basically everyone has gotten theirs but me, my post is always sooo late! :( 5th year results have no bearing on LC tho right like? You can do awful in 5th year and do unreal in 6th or vice vearsa.. Itll all be grand...

If it makes you feel better, I did terrible in my 5th year exams (didnt actually go in for half of them :/)
Then did terrible in my pres for the LC (Think I got 8% in maths or something)
Still passed everything in the actual LC and got the points I wanted! (Then dropped out after a year >_>)

Actually im probably not the best person to listen to.....

I'd say you're better off doing bad in 5th year tests to motivate you to work more, or at least avoid any complacency. ;) And never add up the 'points' you get in any set of exams other than the mocks and the actual Leaving Cert, unless your tests are full Leaving Cert papers! I've no idea why some people do this, it's so unrealistic if your tests are just an essay or a half paper or whatever.

The only exams that have any bearing on your LC are your LC exams.

I did shít in my 5th year exams, crap at our Xmas test, got around 320pts in the mocks, and ended up with 500pts (135pts more than I needed.) :P

    TL;DR: You'll be graaaand!

I had a phone call about a volunteer position at ESOF, which is good but they rang me when I was still in bed and was completely unprepared for any sort of questions about relevant experience or interest in science. Its so annoying because I have experience for these events and I'm doing a degree in science, but I was caught off guard so I mentioned none of this. I've been face-palming all day just thinking of all the better answers I could have given.

Also I wasted half my credit on hold trying to get the bins sorted. Apparently no one else on our road thought to report the missed collection. Ew boring adult stuff etc.
