Thanks Muckit no didnt train him takes way too much time,i might start training one and not have time to get him out again for 3 or 4 weeks. not to mention i have a good heifer i started training about 3 months ago, 1st day out took my eye of her for 15 mins while i was bedding sheds and she nearly killed herself!!!! tied her up beside her mother who is trained thinkin she'd be ok. she charged the gate infront of her busting her nose had obviously done 360 degree sommersaults and i got her hanging:(. she about 90% ok now but learned a valuable lesson not to let them out of sight or sound!!

The crush is a good place to start. You could have lost her there. A lesson there for us all. Keep your eye on the ball!

Nice cut of a bull above. It seems to me than any cut of a bull is making 2K now. We sold a commercial weanling lately( A white Chx with good shape, 380Kgs €1130) and he made €3/Kg (Almost!).

I got 2700 at a local sale for a bull very similar to you're one so I think you should be looking for something close to that. It's hard to judge him from the pic but he looks a good bull.

    Best of luck with him

Pic 0165: I put this cow up before, but here she is again, A Simx by Newry (KFY) out of a Limx cow. She is springing to our own CH bull, carrying her 2nd calf.

Pic 0168: This is a heifer 26mths old by our own CH stockbull (Newlook) who proved incalf, she calved a week or so ago unassisted, a smallish heifer calf her own colour (standing on front of the heifer). She is out of the same Limx cow the Sim above is. I think she will make a very useful cow, thinking of putting the BA Indiana (WTI) on her when she comes around. She's a better heifer than she looks in the pic!

Pic 0173: A really good breeding Lim cow by Jaguar (RSJ) out of a CHx cow. She's had 4 calves, all good ones. Her first heifer calf by the BA Landais (LSX) calved down this year to FL22, and will make a fine cow too. This years calf at foot is a black Lim heifer by ABI I think but I could be wrong. A super calf too.

The dog has great intrest, but never reached her potential. More a sheep dog than cattle but she tips about and enjoys herself anyway. Great little dog about the place to let ya know there are visitors, no one comes in unknownst to her!

I'll have to be more careful of what's in the background in future, I don't want to be givin away all my secrets:D

    Good man redzer,

i hate that editing pictures mullarkey that img code not seeming to work for me at all, calf is out of a black whitehead lim 2nd calver, that is from a very big wide old HR x cow.. they both in next picture on photobucket.

He has the makings of a good one alright. I cant get over the way they are thriving, all the nuts all winter stood to them. The bull isint mine unfortunatley, I only have the loan of him for the heifers, went to see calves out of him last week and they are lovely stock. If you press on the img code it should copy itself and just paste it here then, it works for me anyway.
