For some reason Facebook chose NZ to test the timeline thing so we've had it for a few months. There was uproar here then as well, people bitching about it everywhere. You get used to it after a day and then everyone forgets about it and starts asking what their cover photo should be. :)

I have a older relative on facebook who has, you could say, literacy issues?..My status, was about me visiting my folks at easter and had showed the baby their dogs and her cute* reaction to them (I can be a pest myself). Her response was a three paragraph badly spelled offensive rant about how terrible mother I was giving a new baby a shower, and not a bath, did I not have a baby bath in this day and age, etc.etc. All ended in much flaming from some of my friends who thought it was hillarious, and me deleting the whole mess.

No chance anyone in social services would have a clue what she's talking about if they looked at her page.

More or less less is more. Surprised she has time to sip on her wine with that amount of status updates.

Do you bother with it anymore or are you addicted.
I check it the odd time now to use the chat thingy but other than that for me it's gotten ridiculous with the amount of marketing and advertising.

A grandmother on her deathbed tells her grandchild, "I want to leave you my farm. Everything - the buildings, the land, the livestock, the farmhouse and €5 million in cash."

The grandchild is absolutely gobsmacked. She always thought that her grandma secretly hated her, but now she was going to leave her a fortune.

"Oh grandma, you are SO generous! I didn't even know you had a farm. Where is it?"

And with her last breath, Grandma whispers, "On Facebook..."
