Nice to see this thread back up in the listings again - I had to search for it when I last looked for it a few weeks back.

As for soviet gear ... I have firmly moved over to the dark side ... aks now outnumber the stanag family by 2 to 1 here. Which is nice.

Puding - did that VAL that you posted in Airsoft News ages ago ever materialise?

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,523 ✭✭✭Hande hoche!

    Latest photos are here http://koko13121.militaryblog.jp/e306482.html
Ares are supposed to be showing it off at IWA 2012.

Does that mean that someone else will be making a VAL other than Zeta Labs? Hopefully if they do it'll be cheaper...

Sorry man I should have phrased that better. Basically Ares acquired Zeta Labs, now what effect it has on pricing I don't know.

That being said Ehobby have photos of it on their facebook page so might be worth emailing them for a quote.

Puding, what type of gas mask is the engineer class wearing in the photos from BF3 above? apologies if it was answered already, i just couldnt find it in the previous posts. also, will airsoft panda be the only ones stocking the vss, or are they just taking pre-orders before everyone?

Anybody know any good SKS replicas? That and the AS VAL are permanently on my mind after playing ARMA2.

    Hey folks,

I know that Puding has posted on another thread about online stores which have good stocks of Soviet/Russian gear.

    One of those mentioned was:
    http://www.frontowiec.com/index.php

This is a Polish store with a Polish/English language online store.

I have now placed and received three orders from Frontowiec - they've been extremely fast to dispatch orders, perfect at dealing with special requests in terms of delivery and overall a joy to deal with. Thanks to Puding again for the recommendation - if anyone out there is looking for Russian kit, give these guys a try - there's also the added advantage of it being an EU business, so no dealing with tax demands when your kit arrives. It's also a good deal cheaper than some of the non-EU based suppliers.

    Can't recommend them enough.

link does not appear to be working but i imagine it is the val or vss :)

do not hold your breath to much i've had the val on pre order for about 6 months :P

but good news as new pictures came out today http://koko13121.militaryblog.jp/e315735.html

Those welding marks look promising in terms of build quality. Hopefully it will be out in the next month or two.

It's the Val Puding - and it's showing as 'add to basket' rather than pre-order (the VSS is still 'pre-order'). The last time I checked it was still 'pre-order/available April' so it seems that it's now available - perhaps yours is already winging it's way to Ireland.

Not sure why the link isn't working - the oldie copy/paste method appears to bring you in to Airsoftpanda's registration page instead of straight to the product.

If you search AS Val you'll find it... :)

ow aware of the change is status as i;ve been following this product closely but we;re still to see a finished product and a lot of release dates have already passed :) , defiantly nothing has been shipped yet

as i say i hope it come out in April but im not holding my breath that is all

    No doubt!

you know me to well :)

I'm gonna wait for the VSS over the VAL, cant afford both,
(well cant afford any short term so a long wait might suit me better money wise) Hopefully there will be an option to buy without scope which may knock 100USD off the price :D

For anyone bemoaning the lack of VFC modern AK variants these days, LCT are now making AK104, AK 74M and AK105s with correct full folding stocks rather than the skeleton stocks used in their earlier models.

    Looking good:
