    Just finished Journey.

    It's good.

ICO good (even if such a comparison fails to emphasise the uniqueness of Journey).

Cannot imagine this being anything other than game of the year. Remarkable stuff.

Thats a PSN thing isnt it?

Looks good, Might have to get some money in my wallet for that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,054 ✭✭✭✭Professey Chin

It is indeed. Download it in the haste!

Pretty much single-handily justifies the existence of online multiplayer :pac:

Yeah, a game that proves once and for all games do not have to be a certain length.

It's around two hours long, but there's so much emotion and beauty packed in there it's perfectly considered.

You really can't think of it in traditional gaming terms. It is Journey, and it is a triumph.

    Pointless feat of endurance alert!

Going to pale next to my endeavours to defeat Dark Souls using a guitar controller though.

(an aside: any ever think that in Goldeneye just looks like two pencils glued together?)

You know it would be impressive if not for the fact that the game has so much auto aim that it practically plays itself, and that's no exaggeration.

Heard my friend tell me that it tries too hard. A bit like Limbo where it's got the visuals down and is desperately trying to be deep but is ultimately very shallow. Will try it myself but I got the very same feeling from Flower, which I enjoyed in spite of it and the awful motion controls.

Your friend has no soul :pac:

As a sensory experience, there's nothing like it. It doesn't aim to be deep: it simply aims to provide a unique experience for the player, and it succeeds magnificently.

I really liked Flower, but this is on a different level altogether. It has to be played online, too.

Another Linux based handheld for us to run our emulators on(a UK based company this time). The specs wont rock the world and the D pad doesn't look that great but it's worth keeping an eye on, maybe.

Kat Von D? I hope that's just for free tattoos? She looks more and more like Cher every time I see her.

Then again, maybe Cher is your thing?

In retrospect thinking that just because I knew my way around LA Noire would mean I'd know my way around LA was rather foolish.

When's the new GTA due out? That might be more useful.
