    The colour! *shudders*
I actually like it too, especially on an E34. I think it's one of the nicest colours they did it in :D

    +2

That colour is horrible! I'd actually go as far to say it's the worst looking E34 I've ever seen.

And it's not that i have anything against gold, I usually love it on big saloons, but it's not even a nice gold!

I'm thinking of getting a new car, budget would be around 1k. Looking for something reliable and cheap enough to run. I don't want it to be a liability after purchase at all. Something closer to 1L as well for now...any tips would be much appreciated :)

    pre 95 1.0 or thereafter 1.3 (4e-fe) starlet
    1.25 fiesta
    1.0 polo ( http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/2839892)
    1.3 corolla (4e-fe engine)

A grand is pushing it though imo for a good example. Not impossible though.

Excuse the ignorance but what's a 4e-fe engine? And how do I spot it?
I'm looking for something similar myself, mostly looking at corollas for now.

It would only cost couple hundred quid and a lot of swearing to somebody handy with cars. I guess.

Top spec for an Octavia in 2000 was fabric seats, no front fogs, non-metallic paint, and 110bhp diesel engine?

No, not at all. They make that and much more, most 00's with decent mileage would warrant around the €2,000 mark, very easily.

I know this is a long shot. I've been trying to shifit my Alfa 166 for 1100 yoyos. I've resigned myself to the fact that this will never happen.
Now I've decided it has to go no matter the price. What trade in price should I expect on another car. Looking to spend 1500 max. Thinking of an estate.
I have about 500 cash plus the 166. Might be able to get another 300 or so if the right car comes up.

Also any suggestions or links to cars that would suit would be appreciated.

I feel your pain. Have had lots of Alfas myself and a 166 also and if you find the right buyer (an Alfa enthusiast), you're grand, but other than that, they are too niche, especially the 166, GTV etc.

What year is it? Mileage etc? NCT? Is it on Adverts? I don't see it there
As for the value as a trade in, that will really depend on what you are buying, or if it's private or trade etc
