almost 12 year old Yaris for €1500 - borderline dreamer candidate?

No, not at all. They make that and much more, most 00's with decent mileage would warrant around the €2,000 mark, very easily.

I know this is a long shot. I've been trying to shifit my Alfa 166 for 1100 yoyos. I've resigned myself to the fact that this will never happen.
Now I've decided it has to go no matter the price. What trade in price should I expect on another car. Looking to spend 1500 max. Thinking of an estate.
I have about 500 cash plus the 166. Might be able to get another 300 or so if the right car comes up.

Also any suggestions or links to cars that would suit would be appreciated.

I feel your pain. Have had lots of Alfas myself and a 166 also and if you find the right buyer (an Alfa enthusiast), you're grand, but other than that, they are too niche, especially the 166, GTV etc.

What year is it? Mileage etc? NCT? Is it on Adverts? I don't see it there
As for the value as a trade in, that will really depend on what you are buying, or if it's private or trade etc

Wow! Now that's a lot of Jessepy for the money! A good wash and hover, and you'd have a nice motor for the next 7 months!

No not on adverts. Might do that now. It's a 99 with NCT until July. In good nick. No history worth talking about and I think the clock was replaced so the mileage is currently at 39000ish.

I don't think it's an enthusiasts car. I'm sure they'd be looking for a perfect example.

I'm at the stage now where if I can get enough cash to buy another car it's gone.

Fine car! But you should be able to get it for a lot less.

For those on a tight budget and mileage isin't too severe by any means. Not sure why James reckons its a 5 door saloon though:confused:

That's an easy one - I'd say he is confusing the boot for a door, like on a hatchback or an estate.

The fact that the seller reckons its a "Brava GTD" mightnt inspire confidence,
