Well that was quite ferocious! Still lashing and howling here but the really juicy stuff only lasted about 10 mins. Very entertaining 10 mins though, sideways trees, flashflooded roads, the works :)

Here's the audio file for Dublin ATC from 2200 - 2230 tonight. Jump to 16:00, that's when they start reporting about the heavy shower, and poor visibility at 100 ft.

2 flashes near the beginning (0:06) and end (2:29). Very heavy rain in the middle. The camera couldn't focus too well with the low light and rain so the quality seems kinda crap.
No idea why I did that weird/creepy little laugh after the 2nd flash, didn't realise until watching back through!

    Have heavy rain here now.
60mph gust so far. but that was at sea lvl. so i expect where i live to be even more.

takeing that the winds should die down once the front has passed in an hour or so

Heavy wind and rain in Naas I while ago.

The cat wanted to go out so I picked her up went outside and stood facing the wind, stayed out for a minute and brought the cat back in. She didn't want to go out no more.:D

Joke was on me though, what I thought was heavy rain was actually hail.
