dreading WI tomorrow. Had my graduation at the weekend, was planning to be good but we went out for a lovely meal and then I had a night of celebrations with my class. Topped off by two frys for breakfast when staying in a hotel and that does not mean weight loss. :(:(

Just angry with myself because I've been doing WW four weeks now and have only lost four pounds. Wanted to get a silver seven before I go to America (two weeks) but that's not going to happen now. I almost feel like what's the point?

Im dreading mine this week as well had the baby christening and I cooked all the food and all PP friendly never got a chance to eat any of it and ended up having some cake instead and then a fry the next morning I had low cal sausages but still feel i have over done it, but dont give up its worth it to stick it out 4 pounds in 4 weeks is not bad at all and you might be up but draw a line under it and keep going :)

I am hoping to take full advantage of my cross trainer in some hope of at least STS weighed my self this morning up 2

woke up to a lovely stress free house this morning. Sun shining.....and mum is gone away on hols! Free reign in the house and kitchen!

So got a tonne of laundry on!

Making savoury muffins later, cheese + tomatoe 4pp each :)

Its just so much easier to do ww when she's not around watching everything i do...complaining about everything thing i do....."the oven is on....AGAIN.....the washing machine is on AGAIN"

and every single time I go to start cooking or making anything....even a fecking cup of of coffee...she'll start brushing the floor or something....HELLO....can you not wait 5 mins till I'm finished cooking or something.

But i have freedom for a week :D Can wash all my stuff....and not worry about her wrecking it in the wash :D She's ruined so many of my clothes (and of course not replacing them)

So now i can get all my stuff ready for cape clear :D have it all washed and ironed....in PEACE!!!!!!!

Lainy, maybe it's time to move our of your Mum's space and find your own!!:D:D:D

well i'm paying 1/3 of the mortgage on this house....unemployed...and in the middle of college... not really ideal time to move out...trust me if I could....I would!

Oh god have been away over a week and WW went out the window, my dad is sick with cancer and had a reaction to his treatment last Wed (he has stabilised again now though) so I couldn't make WI and the routine I had going fell apart.. I was going to skip WI this Wed as I'm afraid of being up but have decided to go to get back on track!

Although my eating was rushed and mostly convenience food in the hospital I managed to get in a bit of exercise when I could.. Not having the tracker for the week has left me all over the place!

Hope everyone else has had a good week and good losses :)

Yeah i seen that on it too! Dont know what that is about! I think it may be points per portion when you add the other stuff but that is very low if you are adding chicken because the chicken alone is 4 points although if 3 or so people were having it then that would be right, 4 for chicken fillet and 1 for a third of the pack!

Well when I worked it all out, it was 8pp per portion! Not bad considering it was a decent size dinner, that said, I'm not sure you'd get four portions out of it - not if you've got a man like mine anyway :p If you are planning on making it, cut up your spuds nice and small because I used baby potatoes and just cut them in half thinking they were already small and the majority of them where still quite hard after 50 mins in the oven! :(

Yeah the one i got was the meditteranean one! All you put in it is chicken, courgettes and baby tomatoes so it is a bit less without the potatoes! Tasty though and nice for a change! :D

Oh dear started off with the best of intentions this week but had way too much points spent on alcohol and some bad food choices too along the way including a McDonalds. Don't think I'll even break even this week - boo hoo!!!!

WI last night and I was down 1lb, I was so surprised as I'd had a really bad weekend with lots of food and alcohol!!

New week starting today planning to be really good :) Only 3lbs away from 2st now and 11lbs away from my goal....

I'mm going to set myself a goal of reaching my goal in 3 months, I know that's a long time for 11lbs but it's starting to come off slower now so I need to be realistic ;)

Hope everyone else has good news from their WI this week

WI this morning and down 4lb, that's over two weeks though but I'm more than happy :) Especially since I'm struggling to be be 100% committed. But I've got the water intake back on track, food 75% back on track. Just need to be more organised with meals and start cooking properly (something I struggle with!) and add in a bit of exercise (something I really really struggle with!!). Oh, and if God could grant me a bit of willpowr that would be fantastic too!!!!!

Got to a WI this morning. I had thought I wouldn't get to go over the holidays, but my eldest (who is 9 & I wouldn't want to bring to a class as she would be taking it all in) was at a summer scheme so just brought my 4 yr old. I was 1lb down which was good as I had a night with some of my cousins & a bottle of wine over the weekend! I got a silver 7, bringing my total loss to 3st 7 1/2 lbs (since about 4 yrs ago), or 2st 5lbs since the start of 2011. So just 4 more to go to goal. And today was the first time I didn't have to pay as I already have my gold card. I booked my holiday yesterday (going to France on 10th August) so I am planning to be good until then & then I can relax it a bit when I'm away.

Good luck everyone with your WIs.

Hi there, a newbie here so apologies in advance for any stupid questions!

I'm trying to do WW solo - my friend over in the UK sent me on her books etc to get me started and I'm down 5lb in the past 2 week so am delighted. She's getting married in 4 weeks (yikes!) and I'd like to get down half a stone if poss! Is this do-able or am I being unrealistic? My weekends haven't been great but I really do stick to it during the week.

We had a few treats in work this morning so I succumbed to a finger of Time Out - anyone any idea how many pp's?

I'm really looking forward to trying out some recipes cos so far I've been very lazy and am eating lots of WW ready meals - just til I get my head round the points..:)

    Cheers

Down 1lb. I know it's not much but I was sick there for 2 weeks and then I was away on the lash for 3 days last weekend so to be back where I was 3 weeks ago works fine with me. Got back on the crosstrainer last night and gonna point and track everything again for the next 3 weeks before my weekend in Paris. Big losses ahead people. Watch this space ;)

Sorry Princess Ash, I really don't know. I just lifted this info from the WW website for you. I can't imagine it would be anymore than a normal one but I'll stand corrected.

I had a great week, all good food choices, feeling very positive, excercise everyday except Saturday and then WI today, Up 2lb??? WTF?

Ahh fionas046 that is a kick in the nads, so frustrating. It's hard when your convinced you'll see a result because you put in the work. Is it maybe coming up to TOTM are you bloated or did you weigh in at a different time to normal?

There can be loads of reasons.... Did you maybe eat waaaay too much fruit or bananas....

It'll probably show up next week with a big loss your body might be on a go slow. At least you know yourself the work was put in and do it again this week....

    Re: Time-Out

2pp for one finger, 5pp for two. A finger is great value for 2pp I think, especially if it's nearly frozen so the chocolate doesn't melt as quickly in the mouth!!!

Nooo..... DEFO NOT! I know it can be frustrating and annoying but think of it this way, if you weren't doing WW at all what you could have been up this week. I know if I'm not following the plan I would eat rings around me because I'm not answerable. Your still doing yourself the biggest favour by getting fit and healthy and eating right. And if you do it again this week there would be undoubtedly a result next week??

Fionas046 - if I remember correctly you are really close to your goal? Defo don't give up, you could be pleasantly surprised next week and have a good loss. Many times a good ( or bad) week has only caught up on me down the road a bit. If you are putting in the work, you will see the result in time!

Don't lose heart. There's dozens of people on here that support you and want to see you succeed. It might take a while longer for some than others but there is no way that eating healthily and exercising wont pay off sometime soon. Could you be building muscle do you think? Or maybe you've been eating the same things for a bit now and need to do an overhaul? I'm sure the people on here can help you get to the bottom of this. Did you speak to your leader as well or show her your tracker for advice?

:D muchos agree. I remember when I was 2lbs away from goal I had no result and STS for 3 weeks when putting in effort, then boom 5lbs in one week, goal reached. Also when I was close to goal I have to admit you can get a little lazy on portion control and tracking. When you think your really used to it you 'think' you know the amount where your teaspoons/tablespoons are getting larger all the time! I'm a heavy handed kinda gal ;)

Thanks for your support. You're right PharmNS I WAS close to goal.
I've spent the last 2years doing WW, Its saved my life, I have no doubt about that at all. In that time I lost 9st and gone from a size 28/30 to a 12/14. I'm really happy as I am now and these last couple of lbs are the only thing getting to me. So, my dilema is, do I keep annoying myself for the sake of a half stone (this figure was 1.5lb:eek:) or do I just get on with life and be happy to be where I am now?
On a positive note, my thoughts were about stuffing my face when I came out of the meeting and there was a KitKat Dark staring at me in Supervalu but I'm delighted to say, its still in Supervalu! I stuffed my face alright with an apple, orange and Banana :pac:

Thanks guys, just feeling sorry for myself I guess. I know what you mean about portion control but I'm still weighting everything to the point of obsession. Maybe I'll get lucky and lose it all in one go like you MaggieMay!:o

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 288 ✭✭MaggieMay2

Ha ha like I said I'm a heavy handed kinda gal and after reaching goal ALL portions got a little larger. 2 years later and not following WW I'm 14lbs above my goal but back on track. I've done it before I just need the patience to give myself a few weeks and knuckle down. I can tell you the last couple of pounds before goal can be the toughest they really are and if it's getting you sooo down and your obsessing a little maybe maintain for a couple of weeks and be nice to yourself. Then give it a couple of weeks hell bent and that could do it.

OMG you have come so far that is an amazing achievement, I'd be well chuffed with myself
