    Since you have free texts to all networks it would be most useful to you if you go abroad, where you can send texts for about 2c.

    Also, because you have free texts to all networks you take a hit on your call costs. You could switch to free calls to meteor numbers instead and use cabbage for your texts :)

    With the new app do you have to remove the beta app first ?

    I tried the new app but it didn't import my inbox like it did when I used the beta app.

    Looks good apart from that :) and will buy when that is fixed.

    Just purchased and it also did not import my old messages.
    Also I think it would be better if the option to Send Real SMS was in the main compose message screen rather than having to press menu -> More and then 'Send Real SMS'

    The problem is that I can't have two apps on the market with the same name. What I gave you before was an update to the old app where this is treated as an entirely new app by the phone. I'll see what I can do about getting one app to transfer the data to the other

    Crap, it's only supposed to be vibrating when it's in silent but Ijust checked and it always vibrates. Would it be ok if i just vibrated on silent or do you think I should add an option to vibrate always, never or on silent?

    The option would be nice, some phones(HTC) have the options of normal, silent and vibrate so if possible the option would be great.

    I've added this option now and I've fixed the vibrate problem. Now you can choose always, never and on silent, with on silent being the default.

    I've also put the "send via real sms" option on a button rather than a menu item so now there ae four buttons across the top: Recent, Send SMS, Send webtext and Clear.

    I'm not going to release it right now because I want to test out the new stuff a bit first but it should be up in a few days

    Rather than doing an import in Cabbage Ultimate you'll be doing an export in Cabbage Lite. The reason for this is that there was no way to allow Ultimate to read the data from Lite without making the data accessible to every app on the phone. So rather than having a listener in Lite waiting to provide the data to ultimate (or whatever app requests it) I have a listener in Ultimate waiting to receive data from Lite when you select the "Export data to Cabbage Ultimate" option

    Again I'm not going to release it just yet because I want to make sure it all works

    Hi Sam. Just wondering if it's possible to add a feature whereby if you click the contact picture that the option menu comes up similar to that which comes up if you click it in the call log?

    It gives you the option to call, email, go to their facebook page/location etc. Not having any idea about software development I'm not sure how big of a request that is!

    Great app. Between this, WhatsApp and the forthcoming release of Viber for Android I should have more money in my pocket!

    i disagree. i think it should be 3 buttons side by side which read:
    1. recent
    2. send via accountname
    3. clear

    i think send sms (which should really be send real sms i think) should be left to the menu.

    Sorry for going off topic here, but love this app on android, but a friend has a Windows phone 7 mobile, so to the developer of this app, any plans to make it for windows phone 7? cheers

    Hi, there was a WP7 version called Sprout SMS but there was a copyright issue over the name so it's parked for the moment. Dean Mc is hoping to release it under a different name soon

    I think Random is right. I tried adding the send via real sms button to the mani screen but I think people will get confused between send via real and send via web text and I'll get a bunch of angry emails from people with huge bills :D

    What I'm going to do instead is move the send via real SMS menu item so you don't have to press 'More' to get it anymore. I'm going to upt it where Remaining messages is now. And I'm going to make the Send via web text button twice as long and change its text to "Send via account xxxxxx"

    An issue to report with the beta one. All my messages are sent in the format:
    Message contents

    (2 line spaces)
    .(just a full stop)

    Is this normal?

    I've just published an update to Cabbage Ultimate. Changes:

    Press contact photos to call or email the contact. Sorry Rowley Birkin I looked into getting the facebook information but I don't think it's available to regular apps which is supported by this thread
    Access to Facebook friends via the contacts provider is restricted to a handful of system apps by the provider itself. Other applications cannot read that data.

    Messages and accounts can be exported from Cabbage Lite. You'll need the latest version of Cabbage Lite which I haven't uploaded just yet

    Messages highlight when pressed to confirm that the press is being processed
    The compose message and settings screens have been updated.

    Let me know if there are any problems/comments/suggestions :)

    Hi Sam.
    I just updated my Cabbage last night.
    Unfortunately now the icon won't open the program ("The linked program is no longer installed on your phone")
    I wonder if this is because I went from the original Cabbage to an update of Cabbage Lite.
    Is the only way to fix this to uninstall and reinstall?

    if the icon is in a folder, just delete the icon and re-create the shortcut

    Hi Sam, any idea what a "Client Protocol Exception" error is all about?

    I suspect it's related to an "Error 0 Processing" error that I keep getting on the Meteor site.

    Running HTC Desire on Meteor, currently on a CM7 ROM but have had the same problem with previous 2.2 based ROMs.
