Yep.
I wasn't happy when I first got it, despite having fairly nice stats it's moves sucked so it was awkward enough trying to raise it.
A bit of tweaking though and I now have a very nice battler.

A few hours in with all me Pokemon around level 16.Curse my DS lite 4 hour battery.I'm juggling this & Leaf Green.Quite a difference in the battles pace.What level do Munna,Snivy.Lillipup, blitzle,Pidove & Pandour evolve at.

munna is a stone evo as is pandour, starter are 17 and 34, could be 18 36 though, can't remember the last 2, lilipups final of 3 is like 32 and i think blitzle is around that too (i caught the evolved wild)

I'd shove a Shandera or a Daramantian in there. Fire hot! I'd recommend Sawsbuck (because Horn Leech is AWESOME), but you already have your Smugsnake :P

That said, during my 27 hour binge over the weekend, I got remarkably sick of Unfezant. My Zebstrika did its job handy.

Currently I'm using Samurott, Zebstrika, Krookodile, Shandera, Sawk and Glaceon. Sawk is being replaced with an Emboar once someone trades me a Tepig and I breed it, and Glaceon will be replaced by either Beartic or Cryogonal for tourneys. I just love it so I use it for endgame.

Actually, Beartic or Cryogonal? I could chain breed Ice Punch onto Beartic, or just use Icicle Crash, but it's still MAD slow. But Cryogonal is so... I just don't like the look of it.

Sunday night, tried to get the Jet badge (7th I think). The gym leader used all flying Pokemon. It was going alright, but her Swanna tore through my team. My electric type (Joltive?) didn't get a chance, and it ended up with my (can't remember the name, the water starters second evolution) versus her Swanna. After about 20 hyper potions, we were both running out of moves (she used hyper potions 3 times, as well as the Swanna's Aqua Ring). Thought I had finally worn it down when it hit me with an Aerial Slash. I had enough health to survive, then hit one final Razor Shell to win.

Critical hit. Killed me.

So, as my Electric type sucked, I managed to catch a Blitzle and gave it an Exp Share to level it up quickly, although o ended up catching a Lvl 28 Zebstrika and levelled it up with Exp Share and lucky Egg. After I got it to about Lvl 34, I tried the gym again.

It went in as Lvl 34 and came out as Lvl 38. My God, it tore through that entire gym by itself. What an animal! Nearly every pokemon was down with one electric attack, including that ba*st*rding Swanna which I wish I could have given one of my Revives to so I could beat it again.

It's amazing how many times I've gotten a feeling like that too. Just so satisfying.

(Slave pokemon usually)

Anyone any suggestions? Not sure about Simisear as my main firetype, although he is useful for Yawn

The same thing I always suggest to anyone who didn't take Tepig, and who isn't running Darmanitan or Victini: get a Chandelure. Best Sp.Atk. of the generation, so STAB Shadow Balls and whatever Fire move will tear through nearly anything!

Not a bad suggestion, cheers. Already caught one of the Lampwicks (**** me I really have to learn the names of some of these Pokemon) so can just give it the Exp share until it gets to a good level. Thanks
