I got White, picked Tepig (now Pignite) and have 3 badges to my name now. Picked it up in gamestop, it was priced @ €45 but got it for €42 with a student discount. Got a poster with it too.

My star players are:
Pignite...lvl 25
Petilil...lvl 21
Herder...lvl 21


White fc is 3525 1235 2059 until I get 3DS anyway :P

Trading is no longer done through pokemon centre for ds to ds trades. It's done through the c gear which you get after the 1st gym. Select IR from the c gear and just connect both games like you would with a pokewalker. No more need for friend codes!

Also you can trade over 'mon from the jap games, woo!

Got Black after school yesterday in Xtra-vision for €39.99. If I had waited today I could have got it for €35 in HMV but I'm so impatient! xD

I chose Snivy and I'm at Castelia city now.

I picked up Black and decided to save after the first gym leader. Of the pokemon I've caught, there's only four I reckon I might stick with for the long haul.

My Snivy (named Celt), my Lillipup (named Plucky), my Panpour (named Mist) and my Blitzle (named Bolt).

I think I need a fire type and a flying type to complete the set. I'm loving the game so far.

Just after arriving in Nimbasa city and my team so far is:

Simipour (nicknamed Apples) - Lv. 18
Blitzle (nicknamed ZZZAP!!) - Lv. 18
Servine - Lv. 21
Deino (traded from my Jap White at Lv. 1 just for some extra firepower) - Lv. 21
Herdier (nicknamed Yorkie) - Lv. 21
Munna - Lv. 22

Munna has been holding up well as I thought he was a bit crap first time around. Deino is a bit overpowered so might swap him out for something else. Might trade over a ditto to start breeding and get the other starter and monkey pokémon before no one wants them anymore :P

I started with tepig, only noticed it was female a while later... but since then i've noticed that any poke ive encountered tends to be female, about 75% of the time i'd say. I know the gender of the starter probably makes no difference, but it must be a mad coincidence then at any rate... this happen to anyone else?

I think it's quite rare for the starter pokemon to be female? Sounds like you are quite lucky there. Most of my pokemon have been males so far.

Yep, it's a bit annoying if you're trying to get a female but nothing a bit of soft-resetting can't solve! No where near as hard if you want a shiny though! So far most of my Pokémon have been 50/50 male and female.

I just take what I get first time and play through

I got a female Tepig too, but other than that the male/female ratio has been pretty even.

Oh lord the Tepig is a beast(Nicknamed Piggy in mine ) And Pansage is quite great aswell.
Loving it so far, but my lord is my team weak!

currently have a lvl 46 emboar with a lucky egg, a level 33 clink with exp share,(evolving) Victini lvl 35,Unfezant is lvl 33, tynamo and liepard at lvl 27

Finally back to reality, after all that camping out and being awake all Thursday night/Friday morning. Plodding through the english game slowly as I was at a Dr.Who Exhibition earlier today and catching up on missed sleep.

Game wise I've only got about 5 hours so far, team is quite dull so far:

And on the age thing, I'm 26 and was one of the first people queueing over night for the game in London. The oldest queuee was I'm guessing was about 52ish and was so hardcore she was there at 10pm!

Been having fun with the GTS Traded over a ditto so been breeding Snivy and a few others. Have only come across Japanese players so far on the GTS negotiation so they don't really want starters but managed to get myself a Charmander I think they like the english named Pokémon.

Just got my 4th badge (much easier this time around!) and my team is much the same except levelled up and Munna is now Musharna.

Just caught Zekrom with 1 ultra while it was still orange health... anyone else try this?? You might not need the masterball at all for it (already used mine for thunderus)

Alright, here's a question for anyone that may have already had a multiplayer battle: Is Flat Battle still around?

Obviously without a second copy of the game here, I can't see exactly what sort of rules/settings you can choose for the C-Gear battles or the Union Room battles.

Hmmm...Wouldn't go that far. I still prefer Red/Blue myself. I think in the recent games that there has been far too many things to do, dragging you in too many directions.

I ended up getting both games so ive got all the starters now. Enjoying white so far although i do miss your little criter following you around. Ive also found moves that cause paralysis or sleep seem to be more effective than before

Definitely! Get it if you can It's a new fresh experience for the series and really improves on older games.
