Telling ya, get a USB charger cable from DealExtreme and one of those Duracell usb-charged batteries (for recharging mobiles on the go) from Tesco - less than a tenner for the pair and you'll never run out of charge again. (well, not as quickly anyway!)

Busy with work and fambly stuff, so still haven't faced the first gym.

3 local dog likes are in victory road,cave off route 6 iirc you'll know when a man tells you of the legend you need surf and optional flash for the cave(i didn't have) also maybe strength(golduck is great, surf,dive,waterfall and strength) the last is in pinnwheel forest.

Tunderus(sp) is a random encounter you pass a house and some old woman tells you the legend and how to locate him

I had the same hard time getting Panpour. Can't find Pansage and, frankly, can't be bothered.

I'm not going to rebattle the Elite until I've EV trained my new 'mon. Ideal EV'd team will be:

Samurott, Volcarona, Zebstrika, Beartic, Krookodile and Sawk/Emboar/Sawsbuck (whichever I like by the end, I'm doing them one at a time.) All to be bred for decent natures. This'll take about a week and a bit, give or take.

On the topic of EVing, anyone got any good spots for low level Basculin and nothing but? It seems to be best for Speed boosting, which I'll need with Beartic.

Just caught two this evening. First one is in a cave off Route 6 (you'll need strength and flash). There's a house where a woman will heal you Pokemon. Follow the river right (You need surf) to the cave. Second one I caught was in Pinwheel Forest.

They were both actually surprisingly easy to catch. I used Simisear with Yawn and an Axew (which I got in the cave where you get the first legendary, before I remembered I had no Dusk balls or Flash, so left and came back) which had False Swipe. Only took about 4 or 5 Dusk balls each.

Which is weird because I finally went to get Victini (Mystery Gift) afterwards, and even with 1HP and asleep, that fecker won't stay in the ball. 26 Ultra balls, 8 Great balls, 4 Timer balls.... load of balls. I'll try him again tomorrow

Something ive found with stationary legends is that if they take more than 15-20 balls, soft reset and you can normally catch it in less than 10. I know its completly random but its happened enough times to notice a pattern

If you ask me, Generally the legendaries are slightly easier to catch compared to older games.

The legendaries ARE easier. The musketeers have a 45 catch rate as opposed to the usual 3 from Mewtwo, Lugia etc. Reshy and Zekker are similar.

But yeah, Legends are dull. There's no real skill involved in raising one. I was converted today to go back to using Pseudo-Legendaries, as I don't even like them, with their 600 base stats. But at least you can breed for nature, ability, IVs and EV train them. Legends, not so much (exception of Victini).

Also, I give up trying to resist. I'm buying White next week, while I can still get Victini number 2. I'm weak... And likely going to starve because of this.

Churn out nature and IV bred starters, Axews and Emo-gideras, I'd say you could swap a couple of eggs for a fig roll or a hand full of chilli fries. There's got to be a way of turning pokemon back into cash... there just has to be!

Gonna take on the last gym in a bit, just gonna get Fraxure and Deino up to the levels of the others first.
