Why Asia? Not UK, Eastern European or American Products?

    Where in Asia?

    When in Asia?

    How in Asia?

    So many questions.

What?! The more jobs outsourced, the more jobs lost. I think boycotting their electronics is a better idea than produce...

Why did you just stop at asian? Why not German/French/American etc?

I'm all for buying Irish products when I can, but it's a free market and I've yet to see sake being made in Ireland. And I love a little bit with my sushi!

No, it's just a suggestion. They have cheap electronics which is good but they're not original. You can't make fake fruit at least! HAH! ...wait maybe you can.

Oh dear, don't even go there. I never said to buy from us and I don't even recall the last time I even saw my country make anything that didn't fall apart after a few weeks. Whose side am I on? NO ONE'S! I despise all. :p

    I kid I kid.

But yes, U.S. made stuff just doesn't seem to hold together as well as virtually anything else.

Think you might have missed the boat on that one unless there is an Irish manufacturer of Radio/TV/audio/video equipment that I am unware of ?

Is produce from Russia or Turkey okay or do I need to check if it comes from the West or East ?

Yeah, I agree with that actually...at least from what I've experienced myself. I don't take offense easily so no worries. *shakes your hand and grabs...something from the fridge*

Here's another piece of truth, Ireland is an export dependent country! So before you start perhaps you need to rephrase by encouraging consumers to buy more Irish produce.

Last Xmas hoards of boards went NIrl for grocery shopping and it wasn't for unavailable exotics.

BTW, what asian produce is linked to Irish jobs?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,573 ✭✭✭pragmatic1

Seriously though people should try and buy Irish as much as possible. Support your own.
