    Argos just rang me and cancelled my TV :mad::mad::mad:

    Gave me some bullpoo excuse about non-availability from the manufacturer:rolleyes:.

    Promised a full refund within 5 working days.

    Should have known this was too good to be true.

    I got a call at 10.51 with a delivery date for 17th Sept. Thats crap for the people they have cancelled on. When did you order it?

    Sorry lads, couldn't resist. I never ordered one. This was a great deal but I didn't need a TV. I was trying to convince myself that I needed it but in these recessionary times, I just couldn't do it.

    Rang the salesline to get a delivery date. She said there is not definite date but it is between now and the 19th which kinda suits me really. So I will have it by the 19th.
    Gives me plenty of time to make a decision on either the PS3 or a separate Blu Ray player.

    Got a call from courier ...will deliver within the next hour but I'm at work so won't be able to give a bit of a review until tonite ;)


    That was fast....wife phoned the TV was delivered 30 min after the call.

    Will update tomorrow on quality of the TV.

    TV arrived, and just installed .. kids are happy again...

    Did anyone have a problem with the base and the holes to fix to the TV (once you pop it on the base).. mine are slightly out of alignment..

    Thanks OP for a great bargain notification.. and Argos for a great bargain :)

    Had the same problem with my 40"
    I was eventually able to force the screws into place with one of them still at an angle.

    I also had to release the nuts on the swivel part so I could turn the base to align the tv properly beacuse the stand was at an angle out of the box.

    Only little problems though, still a fantastic tv.

    Ok set it up last night and very hapy with the digital reception on it.

    So far may only moan is that there are not enough scart connections on it.
