Fizik Arione (Kium, not Ti, for shame) and Look Keo Classic pedals

    Both in red.

Now I have to get some shoes as well. I forsee a definate return to beans on toast before the end of the month.

They gotta be in white. I'm not happy about the red saddle, but I'll let it slide.

However if he was to get a pair of NW Aerator (sic) shoes he would have a very nice and comfy white shoe that has some red trim to match the saddle.

Incorrect usage of sic. Loose 2 marks.

I have a pair of spesh shoes i'll be looking to get rid of in the next while in black and red with carbon sole...

@bcmf: £15 from here. I've been looking for anywhere else like that. surely they're not the only ones...

Sic is a Latin word meaning "thus", "so", "as such", or "in such a manner". It is used when writing quoted material to indicate that an incorrect or unusual spelling, phrase, punctuation or meaning in the quote has been reproduced verbatim from the original and is not a transcription error. It is normally placed within the quoted material, in square brackets and often italicized – [sic]. Alternatively it can appear after the quote in parentheses (round brackets) – (sic).

Sic is cited after words where the spelling is incorrect/suspect.

@RAAM. What do you understand by sic?

I didn't see you quoting anything.

    I'm sorry, it's Friday and I'm a little giddy.

According to the wiki this is a "backronym" ie it's not right

It's more to indicate that something is being quoted verbatim, but in practise this usually means that it's acknowledging a misspelling.

Easton EA90 SLX forks, for the imminent travel bike build.

    Claimed 300g. Actually 350g. Lying b'stards.

    Still, they are pretty.

S-Works road shoes - these fit like a glove. huge improvement from these over the shimano ones i had. the tightening system is great too - the velcro straps on my shimano's come loose after a while, but these don't and they are dead easy to adjust while on the move.

Antares Carbon saddle - very light - appears to suit me much more than the specialized i was using.

    Fizik-Antares-saddle-hi.jpg

Ti cages - very light. didn't need them, but i wanted them.

next week - new wheels (and a great possibility of selling a kidney so i can eat!)

@steve_b: nice work. I have those cages too, they're great. Been meaning to get some carbon cages for my race bike but not convinced they'd be better.

What Spesh saddle were you using? I'll probably be buying a Toupe soon.

I had a small sidways fall, the only thing that I damaged was a planet x bottle cage. Not worth it. I think those cheapo Elite plastic cages look like the best buy for us mere mortals (I know you would not put one near your bike).

These ones? Not sure I care, plastic is plastic.

...although I have got some Arundel Mandible cages lined up, very tenacious grip apparently, but they're £35 a pop and I can't quite bring myself to press the button yet.
