Go on Jackpot you legend, 8 180's in 9 legs.

The Power better watch out in the quarters.
Taylor will tell him not to show up and will trounce him.

I think with Andersons laughing/smiling when losing, its a nervous thing, wouldnt say he is not taking it serious.
I have no doubt he will be world champ in the next 3 yrs. Lewislike raw talent.
From what I can see, it takes time to adapt to the pdc.

I think Lewis is magic when on that kind of form. Taylor will take him apart though if he doesnt up the ante on the doubles. He missed so many doubles last night that McDine was unable to capitalise on. Taylor will be ruthless and i reckon that if Taylor capitalises on a few sloppy mistakes then Lewis's game will fall apart. I didnt like the way he was reacting to the crowd last night.
I'd love to see him do it though. If he could win this then he could easily kick on and dominate the game for years to come because he has the game to do so.

You know that Kirk Shepherd was getting booed loudly when the commentators feel the need to mention it. Definately won't be unhappy to see the back of Shepherd in this tournament based on his behavior against Part.

Quality performance from Webster, he is finally starting to show his talent in the PDC and could easily get to the final on this form. Real classy show.

Whitlock against Jenkins on now, this has the makings of a classic.

Super game. Great darts from them both. Whitlocks form and Jenkins lack of it in the first 2 sets was the deciding factor. 3 180's in a row 3 scoring visits in the last 2 legs didn't hurt either.

Quick question: say Barney gets another 9-darter before the end of the tournament, and Taylor gets one too, does Barney get 2/3 of the £25,000 cut or is it split 50/50?

Delighted to see Webster winning today. He had a terrible start to his PDC career been defeated in early rounds of floor tournaments which left him struggling to qualify for the World Championship but he eventually got through via the players championship rankings. He's defintley a player for the big stage and hopefully he'll reach the semis which will put him into the top 32 of the PDC Order Of Merit. Kirk Sheperd is about as popular as Ted Hankey!

Webster was very good today and Kirk Shepard is really going nowhere in the PDC. Whitlock was also very good and doing what he did to win the match was just pure class hitting two 180's in the final leg to set up the win. Its a shame there isn't 3 wildcards spots for the premier league because Webster or Whitlock or both are going to miss out on spots even though they have been playing very good.

You wouldn't know. It's going to be hard to turn them down if they reach the semis. Remember that all Jelle Klaasen had to do last year to get a wildcard was reach the Quarters of the Worlds. That came after a very unspectacular year.

I'd imagine that they'd see Whitlock as quite an attractive wildcard choice. How could they turn him down if he beats Wade (very possible. If Wade doesn't bring his A-game, Whitlock is very consistent)? Failing that, the winner of Webster/Stompe/Dudbridge will reach the semis and will also be near impossible to turn down.

They usually reserve a wildcard for a great 'entertainer' like Mardle or Manley, but given that these (and pretenders to the throne like King or Nicholson) have had extremely average years...the spots are very much up for grabs this time around.

i think Stompe would be a great addition to the premier league, great player and a fan favorite.

Wow Stompe was absolutely fantastic in that match. His scoring and finishing were just top notch. Dudbridge was brilliant as well and was just very unlucky that he ran into a man in the form of his life.

That's why I love darts, a truly brilliant game of arrows! Webster, Whitlock and Stompe all win with truly World Class darts!

I cannot see the PDC looking past Adrian Lewis because they have built him up for years as the big thing and the way he is playing, the PDC are bound to give him a place in the Premier League

The PDC is looking great with the new lads coming over from the BDO like Whitlock and Webster.

Tournament is stacked with quality players and the future looks great. :)

Yeah, didn't even notice he wasn't in the top spots. He'd be a cert with the billing and form he's gotten over the past couple of weeks. I'd say that Whitlock/Webster/Stompe are a good bet for the 8th spot though, depending on results. Maybe even Andy Hamilton now if he can take this match.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 6,956 ✭✭✭CHD

    Poor Hamilton

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 12,380 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kingp35

Ah I don't believe that, Hamilton missing big 20 and Wade taking out 112.

I feel sorry for the Hammer, I think he dserved to win that match but Wade kept at it. Fantastic game though but the better player lost that I feel.

    Wade was lucky.
