The bands do not do at all well on X Factor

G4 had some success in UK and Ireland but they now have spilt

So far the best performance of the competition has been Ruth with Purple Rain

Definitely. Begrudgingly I have to say though however flawed it may be that Call Me is another one; the only performance of Diana's that I liked. Candy Man by Alexandra is another one.

Ugh, the odds are "evens" at Paddy Power that Ruth will be voted off next :(

But they dont want her to win

    cos they're racist

    damn racists!

With regards to bands, hopefully this year is the last of them

People keep sayin "JLS are the best band ever on the X Factor"
But still, as a standalone act, they suck

they should scrap that category and just have 3 groups of 4, and boot Louis!
    sap

Cant wait to see Ruth on Saturday, said she picked her own songs that suit her :D

I'm convinced that if she does get past this Saturday they will throw some weight behind Ruth. I can see them coming out with some **** like "how far you have gotten is just a testament to how much this country has progressed as a culture."

I think it is being built around Cheryl Cole and Diana winning this year from the start  which is a shame

I love to see Ruth win

I know, but I'm saying if Ruth goes through this Saturday they might hedge their bets by basically saying "Look! Britain is not racist!"

What are you talking about? Who said Britain is racist? Especially with regards to this show.

I didn't say myself that Britain is racist. I'm saying if Ruth gets through this Saturday they are going to spout crap about how Britain has come a long way and is a positive multicultural society because they are continuously voting for the Spanish girl. You know so that they'll have a story to sell if Ruth wins.

Ah would you stop, you're just looking for something to complain about. I'd be extremely surprised if they done that.

They only reason why Ruth doesn't get enough votes each week is because she doesn't have the "local" support an English contestant would.

It happens exactly the same way in our very own GAA: The Musical Your A Star.

Oh I'm not complaining. I'm just saying that they want to tell a story. Shayne Wards story was that he was from a relatively modest home in Manchester. Leon Jackson's story was that he was the underdog throughout the competition (hence "There can be miracles when you believe"). Leona's story was, well, her voice!

I'm assuming the story that they will give Ruth, if she gets closer to the final, is the story of the foreign woman winning the hearts of Britain.

    Well theres no tellin really

Her performance last week was amazing, and JLS were crap

and she said she has good choices for this week

So hopefully JLS get the boot, saps

WTF People! Britney Spears singing on the show is pretty ferkin big!

I still despise that troll Diana. She looks like an ugly rabbit. Drives me mad.

JLS...can they write their own songs? Were they a decent band before these x-factor fools made them do Kareoke each Saturday night?

    Ruth or Alexandra to win.

DIANA / JLS to go PLEASE THIS WEEK!

I'd love to see Simons face is she does:rolleyes::eek:

Here what's the deal with Britney being on the show anyway? I thought she was a Mental'er now?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,835 ✭✭✭unreggd

    Nah, she's sane again

    Well, a little bit

I still dont get people givin her a hard time

Its not the same as Mary down the road shavin her head on a cough medicine binge

    That video is true!

Thats the proper way to Lip-synch, cos the timing is much better and the little gasps of air make it sound more "live"

But she doesnt even lip-synch anymore, just dances with her little headset on

Man I f*cking love the britney spears, she is a legend.

I am dying for this to come out. Looks very interesting.

She wasn't really a mentler.. she had post natal depression and had a breakdown, two kids and no husband. Even if you are the most sucessful artist in the world, you're world can still come tumbling down.

    Sure, look at Michael Jackson.

I heard about 1/2 of her new album Circus on Spin last night. I NEVER thought I'd say this but I quite like it. Very over produced but still enjoyed it & lyrics are clever (I've no idea if she co-wrote them, doubt it though). I normally hated her stuff apart from Slave For You but Circus is actually quite good. My other half is disgusted that I like it :P

I only started liking her stuff in the last year tbh!

I love good music, and its good.

I was out for a jog about 2 weeks ago. I gave up smoking 7 weeks ago. My goal when I did it was to be able to run without collapsing. I was out walking, and all of a sudden womanizer came on, and I dont know what came over me but I started jogging, the song was designed for a workout! I jogged my arse off and then I started to run as the song built up. Mental. Then they played Coldplay after which was equally as energetic.

I secretly work out to the Spice Girls, who'd you think you are. I love dancing working out to that song.

Britney's is "Circus" and Take That is "The Circus".

Neither camps were worried about the similarties apparently :)

WTF, shes only like my BFF!

She had 'a' breakdown, Im just presuming it was contributed to by post natal depression, etc.

I doubt she had a breakdown because she felt unsucessful and wasn't earning enough.

Also, has anyone ever noticed how michael jackson wannable justin timberlake always refers to her in his lyrics? I'd be a bit cut if I were her tbh.
