man thats gay, but how can i verify my paypal , dont see it on the statement anywhere!
How much is the Paypal validation fee? Like €1.50 or so.. you want to send that back to your bank account? Are things that tight!? :D

Whatcha mean you don't see it on your statement?

You add your Wirecard details as a a credit card in Paypal.

The activation code will show up under "My Account". It may take a day or two, I can't remember, but I did it successfully.

Do you have to add your irish bank account/s now to send IBAN? i've just seen
Registered Bank Accounts /Register new bank account, under My Profile. I havent sent money for over 3months and i dont want to just send it by IBAN like ive done before just incase they've changed it...

EDIT: Nvm found out what it is..
if you would like to deposit funds into your Wirecard account via direct debit (ACH), please select "DEPOSIT MONEY" menu item. On the subsequent page please enter the amount you would like to deposit. In the next step either select your external account that you have already registered and activated or select the "Add New Bank Account" menu item.

I sent money to someone using PayPal. It was left unclaimed for a few days and during that time it was in the reserved amount in Wirecard and then deducted completely.

I decided today to cancel the payment which was still unclaimed. Will there be any problems in having it refunded to the Wirecard account? I've never had a refund to it before and was wondering what I should do.

Wow!...i read all 51 pages. I signed up today and also had to enter my bank acoount details with the wirecard account. I also had an issue entering my own irish IBAN...it wasn't accepted.

Thus i just entered my pesonal account number and bank sort code, can you edit your bank account details once you've input them?

Any word on the physical card?, as in can Irish people order them yet?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,012 ✭✭✭✭thebman

I told them I wanted to shut down my account since I wasn't using it and they said they need it in writing.

Bunch of scumbags, its fine to sign up using an email address but you can't cancel using their website or email address. What a crap service TBH.

They keep changing rules without informing people and generally just being arseholes.

Nope, it is not likely to happen until the government tax issues are sorted out.

Nope. You can't even view your bank account details to make sure they're right.

sent over 35 euro today after a huge 2 hour attempt (lol :D) trying to register my PTSB bank account

Sent it over to wirecards a/c in germany (Heard they had a dublin account?), Permanent TSB asked who was the account holder I said it was Wirecard AG.
Is that right or is my own name?
    Pretty confusing site.
How long does it take for an IBAN transfer anyway?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 29,472 ✭✭✭✭Our man in Havana

    3 to 4 days normally.

I sent €10 to my Wirecard via AIB and international transfer/IBAN...just to test the water. I like the idea of having a static Mastercard number/CVV2 and it's also alot cheaper then €V (i meant to type that).

But having read all 51 pages i see folks have had issues, mostly around this Wirecard local account and money going missing etc.

I'm gonna give it a shot though as the system is better then 3V and you arent't limited to purchases of €350, with £v altering there charges and basically every voucher over €100 now costs €10 (€5 to buy + €5 to redeem) i think €V are taking the pee!

i've ordered a 3v card too just for those mad days when i need to impulse buy

    Wirecard for the rest
anyone got the bank details for the local account, much less hassle than IBAN

The local account is nothing but trouble. Avoid at all costs. Of all the people that have had trouble, 100% of them used the local account.

It's also been shut down so I'd say you'll have even more trouble with it! Didn't you get the email? The one about that and SEPA?

I think the fact that Wirecard altered the website and now require your bank details to be "linked" to an incoming money transfer should cause less issues, if something does go missing they have your details on file at there side. While i'm wary of anyone having my bank details they don't give you much choice.

As long as someone on the OTHER end can't request money to be transfered out of my account, they can't...can they?

I only registered yesterday so have no idea about anything, glad i used the german account then instead of the dublin one

Really can't see why I'd feel unsure of giving them my bank details for
    1. They are one of germany's largest banks so I doubt their going to defraud you or anything
    2. Sure enough when you send over money, they will know where the money came from and therefore your bank info

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 281 ✭✭123

hmm money still not in my wirecard account
    should i start getting suspcious?
When your telling the teller the owner of the german account is the owner you or Wirecard AG
I told them i was the owner of that account
    is that right?
Will be well pissed off if my money ends up in some random german guys bank a/c

give it at least 4 working days.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 29,472 ✭✭✭✭Our man in Havana

Normally wirecard updates at 10pm each night. So allow 4 working days and check at 10pm that night. I did have one transfer that took 7 days to appear.

I use the express option mostly which means the money is in wirecard the same night. Send the money before 2pm and it is there for 10pm that night.

My account was locked, months ago. And months ago I printed out the forms to send off to prove who I am. Still waiting to go get the forms sorted.. Think I've to visit the Gardaí!

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 21,634 ✭✭✭✭Richard Dower

Sent the wire Sunday night...as of of today nothing has turned up in Wirecard.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 29,472 ✭✭✭✭Our man in Havana

It would not have been processed till Monday. I would check tonight at 10pm and each night at 10pm. Should be there by Friday night.

They are unlikely to be interested. Was there any money in the account when they locked it?

The best option is to refer the matter to the German banking regulator.
