He's in a play in the Gaiety, saw him during the week on grafton street myself. Was tempted to walk up to him and say "how are you, boyo?" ;)

Yeah, he's here doing that play, and he also did an interview kinda thing in the IFI a couple of weeks ago, it was quite cool, I went along and he was being interviewed by some dude from the Times in the cinema and then afterwards they showed LA Confidential! I hadn't seen it in years and he gave a good background to it all.

Was on the tube in London about 3 years ago and saw Leigh Francis aka Avid Merrion. Somehow got the b@lls to go over to him and he was so nice! He's a normal London accent. Had no camera or pen...was so annoyed!

Met Neil Delemere and Andrew Maxwell in Galway, both sound and posed for pics with EVERYONE who wanted one...not like Colin Murphy who just went straight to the bar and ignored all his fans!

Will always remember a jewel from Fr. Dougal Maguire of Fr.Ted "They sayy Ted that You should never meet your heroes, you'l only be disappointed".....That I thought was very true.... A famous soccer star refused to sign autographs when I was 10...As an adult I now realise that he couldn't sign everyone's....but at the time it really annoyed me!..... Haven't met many celebs...but I know of others who felt disappointed as Fr.Dougal suggested!

Would be interested to hear others experiences...positive and negative!

Met a certain member of Take That who was the first band member to go solo in the airport in 1998. The most arrogant obnoxious cnut I've ever meet. I was working as a cashier in the Duty Free and he bought a pair of Police sunglasses off me and the credit card machine took slightly longer than usual to authorize and he started fcukin and blinding saying that he had a 'fcuking unlimited limit on the card' A couple of girls asked him for his autograph while he was at the till and he said 'he hadn't the fcuking time and was in a rush to catch a flight', yet he was waiting for the authorization!! A complete a$$hole!

Either you then fell out of bed with a sudden bump or you should write a book about your other life as an imaginary groupee - find it a tad unfathomable that you merely bumped into these people on a casual basis...

She could have easily met them at a TV studio, outside their hotel, on tour etc...I've met most of them back in the day, it's very easy if you're a teenage girl and hang around in the freezing cold for long enough.

I spotted him a couple of weeks ago in a shop with his wife.

Weird to hear him say 'but we already have one of those in the kitchen' in that Dail Reportage Radio voice of his.
