Maybe they just don't realise the unwritten rules of a metal gig!

They can't allow it, or they get sued. Also up front, in the mosh pit, it was slighlty "mellow" at times, but mainly violent.

That guy was so cool! He was moshing away to himself for the whole thing and kept hopping up in front of us, flashing devil horns to the whole crowd! Also, he was sneakily taking photos with his phone so I tried to hand him my camera so he could take a close up of Tom Araya, but he said "No, I can't...."

i thought the bouncers were pretty lax, there were people going crazy where i was and the most the bouncers did was shine a flashlight at them.

hmmm....everytime i look at this pic the word toasty springs to mind

What a ****ing gig! Everything about it was absolutely brilliant. Slayer played some awesome songs, the crowd were mental, and security didn't go OTT this time.

Highlights:
At Dawn They Sleep - "Kill! Kill! Kill! Kill!!"
The pit I created for Raining Blood
Nailing one of the body builder type guys in the pit... He thought he was a tough guy.

Slayer were damn good! I have to admit to really enjoying myself. Music was fantastic and but the moshing was no more than reasonable - could have done with a few more people in the pit and a few less dickheads with their elbows up beside their ears TBH

I think I saw MatthewtheBig there too - were you that black haired guy who came up to me and said you were only 16?

Fookin great gig, highlights were dead skin maks, angel of death, war ensemble..too many to name...oh and when tom hung the tricolour off the amp and the crowd started chanting 'ole ole'

i was very impressed by Mastodon. and the cover of Emerald - so good!! then Slayer went and stole the show - fan****ingtastic. best gig i've been to in a long long time, maybe ever.

Yeah, RedRaven was a fvcking coward, he waited til the very end of the gig to come and give me grief, when there was no other security near me. He's about 30-40 years old! I'd expect that sort of **** from an 18 year old but not from a full-grown man! The exchange went something like this:

In other news, remember when Slayer stopped for a while (no not when everyone sang Olé Olé!) at about 22:15? That's cos someone got stabbed in the stomach in front of the stage. The look on Tom's face said it all. I had to open the doors for the medic and security who were carrying the guy out and it looked pretty grim. I hope he's OK... Then there were two guys who got their heads opened up for themselves on two separate occasions (at least one of them sprayed blood all over my manager's white shirt!), and the Nazis who kicked up all manner of trouble. Tonight was much rougher than last night.

Yeah. Remember he was looking down, and then he went over to stage right - he hadn't a clue what to do and the lights went down and it was quiet and everyone was straining to see what happened... That's what happened.

Not as far as I know. Myself and another lad were chatting to the guards further on down the street after the gig and all they knew was that there was a stabbing but they hadn't arrested anyone either. Basically some little knacker decided he'd jam a knife into someone just for the craic like...

Thats just wrong. The worst i saw on monday was a punch up that was stopped by the people in the pit.

The guy who was a t the back of the pit on monday accused my mate of jumping off the balcony even though he had a level 1 ticket.

its this kinda $hit that gives Heavy Metal Concerts a bad name, i was there last night and it wasnt too bad, i was going a bit mental and got kicked out about half an hour from the end but a stabbin is messed up

Well I saw and heard nothing about anyone jumping off the balcony last night (Monday). It's not exactly something you'd miss. That RedRaven chap has issues. Ah well, there's always one as the Tayto ad says! That's what pissed me off more than anything. He waits right til the end to try and pick a fight with me, so that if and when he did get fvcked out it wouldn't matter.
