Based on what I’ve seen in the senior and intermediate league / championship, the following players deserve a chance for a KK trial (which I believe they’re doing for next year’s panel):

Shamrocks: Killian Corcoran, Darragh CorcoranO’Loughlins: Already have 7 on the panel so hard to see any more being called up.

Vegas: Padraig Dempsey. Given their recent performances, it feels like there should be more but the core of the team is more late 20s to early 30s so harder to see them getting a call up.

The Boro: Liam Moore, Timmy Clifford, Niall Rowe

    Glenmore: Cathal Beirne, Ian Byrne

    Clara: Rory Glynn

The Bridge: Timmy Kelly, Conor Murphy

Thomastown: Similar to OLG, they have 7 on the panel already. Eddie Donnelly might be the only one given our lack of centre back options but I’m not sure of his man marking skills.

    Tullaroan: Bill Walton

    Comer: Conor McMahon

    GBC: Sean Ryan

    Lisdowney: Niall Brennan

Danesfort: Daire O’Neill, Cathal Kearney, Anthony Ireland-Wall

James Stephens: Sean Bergin (still u20 though)

    Young Irelands: Paddy Langton

    Dunnamaggin: Denis Walsh, Joe Fitzpatrick

    Mooncoin: Martin O’Neill, Ciaran Quilty

    Tullogher: Colman O’Sullivan

    St Lachtains: n/a

    Carrickshock: Eoghan O’Neill, Jake O’Dwyer

    Inistioge: Jim Ryan

    Blacks and Whites: n/a

    St Martins: n/a

    Fenians: Rory Garrett

Would ye all leave off Deegan, he is not our problem, nor is any one individual or individual mistake. Ireland Wall showed last sunday how one forward in top form can do, terrorise a defence with electric pace and a great touch. I am not suggesting he would do that in Croke Park, but Dara McCarthy did in th AI final same age. That is what we are missing in the last 2 semis a real consistent goal threat. Remember in last years semi of Tipps 4 goals. 3 came from long hopeful balls into our full forward line that weren't dealt with. The blame Paddy Deegan for everything is a cop out. How many would score 6 from play, playing Centre back in a Leinster Club final playing the following years AI Club champions?

I agree with this, Deegan has been a fantastic servant to Kilkenny and it seems he has become a bit of a scapegoat for all our issues. He made one mistake against Tipperary when he tried to dummy his man coming out with the ball that led to a big score for Tipp but that can happen to anyone.

If you look back at the two frees he conceded on the sideline that he gets a lot of stick for they were actually blatant dives that the ref bought.

Paddy is not perfect lads but Jaysus Harry Maguire didn’t get as much stick and he has a big money contract to soften the blow.

Re deegan c fogarty and w Walsh got awful stick on here over the years that ire seems to be directed solely towards paddy deegan since there gone

Does anyone know if Aidan Tallis would be a good fit for the goal this season. Seemed like he had great potential coming up through the ranks and is probably worth a shot.

And Skippy Ruth the former Wexford hurler has now won Wexford Intermediate and Leinster Intermediate titles with Rathnure in 2024 and now has them in the Senior county final v St Martins on Sunday.

    Some turnaround!

As has been explained. They are mainly Waterford people living in the parish of Slieverue which actually encompasses a lot of whats now Ferrybank. Ferrybank barely stretches further north into Kilkenny than the church. Slieverue while technically having a huge pick I don't envy their task in trying to convert some of their Deisi blowin's to switch allegiances. This might change with time but I wouldn't be so sure and I don't know the ins and outs of the local situation.

Yes I agree, Eoin Larkin will be doing well to hold onto his position

As can be seen Slieverue is big enough but mainly rural but it has picked up extra housing outside of Ferrybank parish

That map is not realistic. Says the rockshire road is in slieverue but it most certainly is in Ferrybank and not Slieverue. Parts of Ferrybank is in county Waterford but also alot of Ferrybank is in county kilkenny. Ferrybank church is just inside the Waterford border, behind it is Ferrybank gaa pitch which is also in Waterford. Across the road you have Ferrybank soccer club whose grounds are just inside the Kilkenny border. All those housing estates you mention are in Ferrybank and not Slieverue. Kids from these housing estates play with Ferrybank and Waterford, and not Slieverue. If a hurler from these houses was to play county level they would play with Waterford even though technically there address could be Ferrybank County Kilkenny.

Brian Cody had no problem with Walter and Fogarty and he was a better judge of a Kilkenny player than any other man in the county.

Is Carrickshock split in separate sections? 1 hugginstown and the other Stoneyford?
