    They are not a waste of space, provided you interact with them and/or your department representative, they could just be backlogged. They've defended cases of discrimination and the recent WFH fiasco effectively. If they're delayed, hound them via email, letter and in-person. The WRC also have your back.

    Is your PMDS, sick leave etc all in order? HR didn't give any further details? You need to be given clear evidence as to what was a 'conflict of interest'.

    Edit: Forgot to add - keep written records of everything! If you have any chats/phone calls with HR or managers, ask for a follow-up email summarising or draft one after.

    Up todate, my local TD has requested a meeting with them for me. Up to this they refused to meet me.

    Wondering if anyone can offer help/advice. I'm currently looking for mobility away from Dublin. I've applied 4 years ago and I'm number 4 on two lists that I want to go. In January when everyone was confirming they wanted to stay on the list there was a lot a movement happening across all lists. My position on the lists hasn't changed since mid February. I contacted NSSO to see if anything can be done as my personal circumstances have changed and need the move as a matter of urgency. They have said nothing could be done for me. Does anyone know if I can do anything to help speed this up? Would contacting the Union/Local TD be of any use? I'm willing to try anything at this stage.

    I was told 1/6 positions for HEO are recruited through mobility. If I am number 4 on a list does this essentially mean I need 24 positions to open up for them to reach my number? With me being on the waiting list for 4 years I assume the 3 people ahead of me are also eligible?

    Firstly, contact your Union. Explain the story.

    Secondly, if that is the HEO recruitment placement distribution, then you are at best maybe 19 positions away from your number hitting. What order they go in is so random and unknown but you still need 3 cycles of the "6" positions. Those ahead on mobility may turn down the offer when it comes also, you never know.

    Sorry can't be of more help, but best wishes.

    Been top of the list for mobility for a department headquarters since the start of the year, can't believe we're nearly into Q3 and I haven't got any word yet

    Looking for mobility within Dublin asap, is there a way of finding out which Depts move fastest before applying?

    I've two questions if anyone can help me.

    If I get a pre offer for mobility and choose not to accept the pre offer, do I automatically get moved and all my applications for that zone are cancelled? I believe this is the case when it gets to formal offer stage and if I rejected it at this stage.

    If I accept an offer of mobility in a Zone 10, but I also have a mobility application in for Zone 11, does that mean I will be removed from both zones once the offer is accepted? I know if I took an offer in zone 10 I would be removed from all departments in that zone. But I'm not sure how it works or what happens to the other zone.

    @bullet93

    This is regarding standard waitlist mobility and, in all of these cases, nothing happens to applications in other Zones.

    In a case of formal offer, you will lose all applications in the zone on offer whether you decline or accept unless you accept, but cannot take the position due to the reasonable accommodation or Irish language check processes.

    In the case of a decline at pre-offer stage, you lose the individual application only.

    My understanding is that some of the above is or was different for Garda Civilians (because the entire org lacks self-service access, and the HR couldn't sustain day-of action for so many applicants), but I don't know the current status of those arrangements.
