The dog's snoring is in danger of taking the roof off the house. For a creature the size of a child's teddy bear, his powers of both snore and fart are quite alarming.

Oasis are in Wembley today so the place is mobbed. Ordinarily, I wouldn't mind as it comes with the territory. However, it feels like the whole place is out to scalp them. I went out to hopefully find some anti-chafe undies for a trip tomorrow (Got baby powder instead).

The Adidas shop has t-shirts, including a pale blue Man City style on for £85 which is mental. Specsavers have a bespoke ad one of the screens ("The original rival to blur", I'm told). There's also a lot more food pop up places around. Again, I wouldn't mind most days but I get a bit ticked off when brands pretend to care about the event to sell tat.

Also, holidays I suppose. Packing, booking, organising and getting fleeced when there. Saves me from fomo I suppose.

F*cking Wizz Air. They've clearly been assiduously studying the Michael O'Leary book of c*ntery. I try to check in with their abysmal app and it just says "Something went wrong". New phone so it shouldn't be that. I've my PC so I can use the desktop site but this is a crap way to run a business.

Where North America ? . Have you even been there. Food you buy in shops are like here . If you're going to fast food joints it's still the here as here

Whatever about Canada in the US nope... their food standards are crap for a reason. The beef and chicken in the supermarkets and fast food outlets there couldnt be sold here. Having to chlorinate chicken.

Even basic fast food here like McDs or BK is on another level to the same brand in the States.

I remember watching a trustworthy documentary (similar to Prime Time or Panorama), once, where they said that a single US-made burger could contain meat coming from over 1000 animals.

Give me EU traceability any time.

There is cow dung in an American burger too. In a meat processing plant over there the production line moves much faster than in Europe so it is harder for workers to keep up and do the job right. It means they also have a crazy number of injuries and accidents with their knives compared to us.

If they care that much about people's welfare, you can only imagine how much they care about the animals'. One of the many reasons why I don't eat them.

Actually, does anyone remember the name of that super-secret international trade agreement they tried to sneak past us until someone blew a whistle on it? Must've been nearly 20 years ago. I think it was an innocent=enough sounding name, but I can't remember it.

The gist of it was that countries would be obliged to accept the import of good from other nations even though they didn't meet their basic standards (think:the automotive sector, the food and beverages sector, pharmaceutical, chemical, etc). Someone rightly suggested countries with lower standards could sue the countries with better ones for unfair competition (or some such) as people would naturally tend to buy healtheir, safer stuff if given the choice. So, in the case of our US burger vs the EU one, the US could end up suing the EU because they'd lose a large proportion of customers who would switch to the better stuff.

Sorry, I know this isn't the place to go on about it, but my major TA is that I keep thinking that with his tariffs The Great Orange One is trying to introduce that ^^^.

NAFTA? I think European countries, us included are still being fined every year because we won't import GMO products from the US which means we are technically breaking trade agreements.

No, not NAFTA, way more recent than that, maybe less than 20 years ago but thanks for trying. To my ears it sounded longer and innocuous.

Sounds like the video of the Walmart employee showing their Christmas bonus: a little tree ornament and three sweets in a small box. Oh and a card saying 'thanks for all your hard work this year'. 😳😂

That AI voice that sounds like Morgan Freeman and is being used constantly in videos online annoys me. They have made it sound just enough like him that they can't be sued.

checked the closing time of my regular barber and it’s apparently closed down. Well I presume that’s what’s happened as it’s google listing and social media has just disappeared ..

The TA is the company have 3 other shops and have a company website and very active on social media which I follow so way to treat its clients as instead of just posting … “our store in X location has closed”… they’ve just disappeared it without announcing it.….so I gotta find a new barber it looks like… was a nice modern shop, sound staff who were great barbers…100% good cuts every time and no fuss or BS…..

Supervalu were doing a special offer on those Nature Valley bars once, It was a great deal x bars for y euro. When I bought a box and got it home I realised they were counting each bar individually, as in there are two seperate bars in each wrapper according to them.

Cheeky bums, will they start doing that with Twix and Bounty next?

I'd bring them back like a shot: what was the offer, get 2 pay 4? And are they going to apply the same reasoning to cereal boxes, next?

TA The dilemma when your toothpaste falls off your toothbrush and ends up in the sink. Do you scrap it back onto your brush or do you use fresh toothpaste?

Wake me up when it's all over.

Depends who's house you are in and who uses the sink 😁

Is there a worldwide shortage of pine nuts or something??? There haven't been any in my Tesco, Lidl or Aldi for weeks and weeks and weeks. Spotted two lonely bags on the shelf in Lidl in Terenure earlier and pounced on them.

I see RTE are on their summer holidays so we have Reeling in the Years again…

Tbf they were interesting the first couple of times but now it seems every Christmas, Easter summer and autumn for the 1000th time, it's depressing.

I'm going to write to my TDs and get it banned 😁
