    First world problems.

I've 21 days to use between now and October and no idea what to do with them. I also need to replace my 8 year old phone as it can't handle the Ryanair app any more.

Also, Ryanair for continuing to exist I suppose.

all the charity adds on TV, looking not just for a donation or support, but this new thing… emotively asking for you to leave money in your will for them when you die. Sorry, that’s just a pretty miserable disingenuous grift.

I keep getting ads for womens beauty cream. I am single, have a huge unkept beard which makes me look homeless and don't use any fancy products other then beard balm.

Why the f*ck can youtube and facebook not get my ads right.

Obviously you don't have one of those passive houses or even a passive aggressive house.

Hmm, beard balm. The algorithm is in fishing mode. It'll see what you click next.

I just downloaded some coupons from Tesco. It said it was tailered to my spending habits. There's nothing there that I would buy.

Been listening to an Audio book and thought it was a bit weird, then after about 3/4 of an hour listening I realised I had random track switched on :-(

Wake me up when it's all over.

Sorry for quoting myself but on the news now a story about Antarctic glaciers melting in the middle of their winter and how in 20 years time they'll have nearly all melted .

one of my favourite YouTube people who I’ve watched for years has started monetising some of their videos. You need to be a paid up member now to watch. If you miss the ones that you have to pay for, the continuity of their story goes missing. Which I’m sure they are aware of. It’s them doing a niche fitness / healthcare job that they just film so they are already getting paid by the client. Concerned now loads of other YouTube people I like, might do the same…cause I’m seeing it becoming a trend. 💵⚰️💀

I've said this before, but what is it with some (a lot of) people's inability to just walk in a straight line??? Got stuck behind a guy this morning practically zig-zagging along the footpath. Did he think he was outrunning a particularly slow crocodile or something? Get out of the jaysis way!

Silent buses and taxis esp if you forget you're headphones

Don't know how they do it, its a bit more tense in Taxis

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,863 ✭✭✭✭Dial Hard

Gimme a silent bus over one full of w@nkers blasting their phones any day!

I've never understood some people's discomfort with quiet/silence, tbh. I have a friend who needs almost 24/7 auditory input. She will literally have a phone or tablet playing Netflix with her at all times - cooking/cleaning/getting ready to go out. Headphones on at work with music or a podcast playing. Netflix back on low as she's falling asleep. Rinse and repeat as soon as she gets up the next day. And no, she's not on the spectrum. I would crack up.

And now I have a new TA - that wànker has been added to the swear list.

Seriously, lads, the site is on its knees and this is the stuff you're "fixing"??? That is actually beyond pathetic.

Could she have tinnitus? I suffer badly with it , on a good day I can sit in silence, but when it's bad, I have to have background noise. My tinnitus is like sitting on a plane waiting for take off that humming following you around from dawn to dusk is enough to make you simple

I'm one of those 24/7 auditory input people and not a major music fan but there's always a podcast or Youtube video on the go. My OH needs complete silence to sleep and I'm the opposite so every night I sleep with an earbud in.

That's one of my TA's, every morning waking up trying to find my now missing earbud in the dark.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,863 ✭✭✭✭Dial Hard

No, definitely not. She says herself she just doesn't like being left alone with her thoughts, which I find very odd.

Best not to as it takes some cleaning off the keyboard.

Wake me up when it's all over.

got up at about 6.30am to use the bathroom. Jumping into bed grabbed a drink from my water bottle, as I’m lying back down I’m replacing the top. However I don’t do it properly thanks to my sleepiness and thanks to these fûcking lids being tethered / attached I spill water on me and the bed. So at 6.32, I’m up again, out with towels, a hairdryer, (combo is an efficient solution it must be said) and cleanup but at 6.32am, didn’t need that….

TA stupid fads - current example, Dubai chocolate. I have seen it on sale for €12.50 in a petrol station and €10.50 (I think) in Tesco. For a regular sized bar of chocolate, good lord.
