I had to turn it off in second half the Mayo crowd were up to nothing. Although doesn't say much for the Leinster colleges if Claremorris were able to beat their winners in All Ireland semi final. Really if the Derry school had their shooting boots on they could have scpred another 3 or 4 goals and also missed fair few easy points. It was a hopelessly one sided affair not what you want to see as a neutral.

    Tipp 20s absolutely septic tonight.

Watched the game. Thought Tipp were poor enough alright. Not sure the firmat how many chances teams get at this grade but on that performance Tipp wont be winning an All Ireland.

Cummins and the kerryman should never have been left near this talented bunch. Robbing cork last year papered over glaring tactical ineptitude.

The Tipp goalie for last goal was well out of position. Sam O Farrellwild pull deserved second yellow late on. It was borne out of frustration id say but Tipp never put any sustained pressure on Limerick. Limerick were good Tipp were very hot favourites so it has to be a big blow to them.

Think that's a bit harsh. Limerick just that little bit better and probably more determined to get the win

Limerick fully deserved it but a better team would have hammered Tipperary tonight.

Some of the basics were scandalous. A litany of errors in touch and striking all night.

I can't work out for the life of me what the plan in possession was.

Desperately disappointing for a group the county has a lot of hope tied into. If not for Darragh McCarthy this evening it would have been a total white wash.

O Connor the coach has never played hurling himself and he coaching one of the top underage teams. Cummins will never see senior job thank god.

You shouldnt have to have played game to be a coach. Of course it will help but many coaches in a lot of sports will not have played much if at all at any decent level or even gone beyond playing to under 14 level in many cases and it doesn't hurt them.

YYou Can't put a team under pressure if you insist on playing around with the ball in your own half . Why can't the top underage teams in tipp manage to get a player on this 15

He literally never held a hurley until he went to teach in blackwater. Denis ring and delboy his mentors . The team is incredibly poorly coached. Robbed cork last year and back to **** tactics like we saw in all ireland last year. Giving up puckouts no presence in ff line. All a shambles with the talent available.

Could anyone tell me the name of the priest that was involved with Liam Sheedy years ago and went on to work with Anthony Daly in Dublin too? Looking also for the name of the book he wrote?

Forwards winning no 50/50 balls, backs struggling to hold out and totally out muscled in middle part of field. No faith in Connolly at fullback, was rounded by a cork forward too easy again. A goal badly needed

Seeing here what most suspected during the league, that we had a bit more done than other teams and our good form was a mirage. Getting a harsh reminder of where we stand today.

No quick fix here sadly. Players just aren't there.

A slow team like us can't afford to concede puckouts resulting in opposition over laps.

Cahill hasn't learned a thing. A woeful senior ic record as manager and has presidevover a lot of embarrassing performances from us and Waterford.

look its more of a case of the transition continues , i dont think cahill can be blamed for this

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 577 ✭✭✭1373

Transition is a fancy word for saying we're going backwards. Physically, we're not at the races. Limerick, Clare and Cork will blow us away this summer. Difficult task for Cahill to keep confidence up

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,610 ✭✭✭realdanbreen

A lot of old guff being thrown about in the media now about Cork. Of course they were very good yesterday but a win was way more important for them after several false dawns in recent years. The bottom line is Limerick are still the team to beat and if Tipp get over them in 2 weeks time, and I believe they will, then we're right in the mix. A continuing concern for Tipp is the scandalous lack of support we're getting, it's been a problem for years now and Limerick will probably also outnumber us in thurles in 2 weeks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 293 ✭✭thamus doku

the support is poor alright but tipp have been poor. In 2023 when we were doing ok we had a lot of support.

The players and management need to turn it around first before the supporters will return.

I always go to the games and do so many others but many tipp supporters will not do so if there is a very good chance we are going to get smashed by limerick and cork.

How long does it take to be let in to that forum? It must be a week or ten days since I signed up.

Getting awaiting staff approval or something like that when I log on. Not a big deal just curious.
