Reset attributes, yes, one time deal. I did it during my non-dlc run. Its what stopped me from experimenting tbh. Once the credit roll, you should be able to go back and reskill for end game clearup. The level cap hasn't been doubled, but increased by 10 from 50 to 60.

Ah thought it was 30-60. Cool thanks, nearly reset them a while ago so will hold off until i get them to a higher level. I'm mad to get stuck into the dlc but will build up my V a bit more. I've read anyway it's best to treat it like a series of side quests and go back and forth between dlc, main and side missions instead of doing the whole thing back to back.

I played it in its entirety and while some do switch between the main and PL, the DLC is quite intense and I think its best explored as one massive side gig. It has a real James Bond feel to it and you wouldn't pause a James Bond movie to go do something for a few hours now would you 😃

Maybe try Kerenzikov or reflex tuner or synapse they're nervous system so can have more than 1. It can give slow time while sliding dodging or when hurt or detected. Don't get the big damage boost just slo mo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,350 ✭✭✭✭Zero-Cool

Yeah, have to explore these a bit more. I currently have an item that slows time when I'm about to be detected which is very handy.

I also forgot how quick you can get through the main missions. I'm already at Search and Destroy so 1 more until Embers. Will finish up Jusy, Panam and Johnny's quests and then will hit the DLC.

I honestly thought I'd be itching to get to the dlc having anyway completed the main game before but I'm loving this playthrough a lot more than my original. Just finished the date with Rogue, I have 85% synergy with Jonny so far. I'm completing siding with him all the way through and it's been such a great experience, feels like the both of us are out to protect each other and I've noticed V addressing herself as 'we' when talking to others. The side missions are just flowing together really nicely, i have a great build with nice weapons and still plenty of places to improve on. I really want camo cyber ware so will be trying for that next.

I'm enjoying this so much, I'd like to go for the platinum but i think that involves finishing all ncpd crimes in each region, which although short, there's a bloody lot of them. Will see when i finish the dlc and the main story anyway.

CDPR have a tourney at the moment where people vote for the biggest legend is Night City. Sad to see Panam beat Judy. I never understood her popularity, is it because most people would go with male V and Panam is the main love interest? Judy is such a better character than her.

Yeah I agree, Judy is a far more interesting character and one of the more important ones in the game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,537 ✭✭✭✭Potential-Monke

I think they were both awesome even though I didn't get the Panam romance in my playthrough. I wanted it, but she didn't! So left for playthrough 2 at some point. I assume it's because Panam is the straight option and gamers are a weird bunch with currently very vocal stances, so maybe that played into it. Maybe not.

But that competition did them both dirty by having them up against each other in the first elimination. I'd take either of them over any of the other characters on that sheet.

Unpopular opinion but Soloman Reed was a much deeper character than Jackie, simply because we get so much more time with him.

I was going the say the same thing, from that list only him, V and maybe Rogue can claim the legend status.

As for Panam vs Judy, of course it's Panam, not only because most players play as male V and romance her, she actually have a role that extends beyond side missions and phone pep talk.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,350 ✭✭✭✭Zero-Cool

I have yet to meet Solomon 😊 and going by percentage of people who have any trophies in the dlc, so have a lot of other people so i think Jackie was always gonna win that, in fairness he was a great character.

Anyway, i was just reading and never knew this, but you can pick up an iguana egg in the heist mission at the start, place it in your apartment and it will hatch after 100 days giving you a pet iguana, that's a crazy easter egg to hide away.

Also reading up on the endings and even though i never had much feeling for Panam, it turns out I went with her ending which at the time i didn't mind as i still ended up with Judy but reading about the other endings, i definitely missed on one i would have preferred so will be going for that this time.

I don't get the Jackie love. I thought he was a potentially good character but the forced quick friendship didn't work out for me. I felt nothing. But other characters were given time to grow on you.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,734 ✭✭✭Corvo

They should have added another 5-6 hours of gameplay instead of that montage with Jackie. It would have built up a far bigger emotional connection.

Man, absolutely loving my time in Night City. Just finishing up the Peralez missions before heading to Dog Town. Only big side quests i have left is River's. Judy, Panam, Kerry and Johnny quests all completed, something like level 37 and Street cred 40, maxed out chrome and happy with my current setup. Got Cool to 15 and unlocked finishers, yeah, these are a lot of fun. I want to dry the dlc before i get too overlevelled. Some shots from my Night City escapades.

I absolutely adore that Peralez story and would have eaten up another few hours of it but in a way, the short burst of it really worked. It was everything that I wanted from the Cyberpunk world. Also did you spot Mr Blue Eyes watching you at the end of the quest?

On the flip side, whilst the mission involving River is actually decent, I hated him as a character and felt they really missed the target on that one.

Love the photos, I must try upload some of my own.

Peralez quest is so good. That 'interruption' before talking to Jefferson at the end is harrowing. Completely immersed me into the world and quest to the point that it changed my mind on what i was going to say to him. I didn't notice anyone watching but just looked it up and that's even more haunting. If this quest doesn't get touched on in PL, I'm sure it will pop up in CP 2.

As for River, i loved his quest live first time around but he's basically a cardboard cutout and I'm in no rush to do those quests again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,734 ✭✭✭Corvo

The brain dances are a brilliant bit of storytelling the first time round but dear god, they become tedious on subsequent playthroughs and the ones in the quest with River are some of the worst to re-play. But yea, River all round was a poor character that I had no interest in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,350 ✭✭✭✭Zero-Cool

Definitely needs a BD skip button. Thing is, the idea of the BD is class and it's immersive but there has to be a better way to implement them in CP2. Should be relegated to a cutscene for each one to progress the story and V finding out the info automatically but there needs to be a better way to implement them.

I had a small bit of time today with CP so didn't want to start Phantom Liberty until i have silver proper time with it. Did a few gigs and captured this 1 shot decapitation, felt like something out of Kill Bill. Watching this back made me realise i have way too much ui enabled, need to check settings to remove some of the cutter.

Also, i tell myself I'm gonna concentrate on a mission next, 20 minutes later, I'm still looking for a good photo op 😊

I think this is one of those games where a busy UI actually makes sense in the world. That's what our future eyes will be like, just less quest stuff and more ads.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,350 ✭✭✭✭Zero-Cool

I got rid of the action buttons on lower right and already made a big difference. I can't see where or if i can get rid of the action buttons from bottom left. Would leave everything else as it's actually handy info and suits the world like you say.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,537 ✭✭✭✭Potential-Monke

In settings under Interface, "Action Buttons" should turn off the lower left.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,350 ✭✭✭✭Zero-Cool

That's the one i turned off and it got rid of the lower right ones. Will look again later, sound.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,537 ✭✭✭✭Potential-Monke

An shur if I re-read your post I'd immediately have realised you said exactly that. Tired brain this hour of the morning!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,350 ✭✭✭✭Zero-Cool

Ah sorry man! It was hints i had turned off which got rid of the bottom right buttons. Just turned off action buttons and the bottom left is gone now, thanks!

So, got a bit addicted to gigs, wasn't expecting some of them to have such great little stories, lot of fun completing 2 regions worth. But level 44 and street cred 50, I've finally started Phantom Liberty. Only played through the market section of Dog town but it's so packed with people and detail, really immersive and makes Night City seem dead compared to it, feels like a real quality update. Watched an interview with devs recently and great to hear how they are learning from the success of PL to implement what made it so good into Cyberpunk 2.

One piece of advice on Liberty - There's a mission that will take you to a high end night club. When you hear Delicate Weapon by Grimes/Lizzy Wizzy come on stay and watch/listen. Not for anything other than the excellent ingame performance of a great song.

Thanks for the tip! I'm doing the dlc completely blind but definitely don't want to miss things like that.

Arsing around Dogtown, feels like I'm in an actually apocalyptic city, it's crazy how they managed to improve the location so much even though you're still in NC. Finally met Reed and as much as i like Elba, thought this would be another celeb cash grab but he's absolutely class. No idea how the story will play out but it's the start of a badass partnership.

The only negative i have so far about the dlc is the loot has gone back into the 'too much crap' category like it was at launch. Well, not as bad as that but I'm finishing way too many if the same clothes. The new clothes are cool but way too much of it in every room that has loot. Minor complaint really, getting too much of something.
