No, he’s a scumbag. But eventually someone will come onto the scene and promise more law and order, a complete review of all NGO spending, stricter criteria for non-eu immigration, stricter criteria for EU immigration, who will ban vulture funds from owning residential properties, organise proper competition laws so that energy companies etc aren’t screwing the people.

And they’ll get my vote.

Interestingly enough I see on Facebook a local hard man in my locality is taking issue with a development earmarked for refugees. Guy can’t even spell properly and uses curse words in his Facebook rants. Gets loads of positive responses from the local lumpen proletariat. Definitely cut from the same cloth as mcgregor. These types are feeling emboldened now after the events of last week. It will be a cold day in hell though when a decently educated and sophisticated country like this starts suddenly bowing and scraping in front of thick numbskulls like mcgregor. These types are not the answer. Someone who can appeal to the more conservative demographic of the middle class certainly has scope for electoral success in this country with the intense vacuum created by the political class on the immigration issue.
