First full month for me as well.

141 kwh generated for the month.

Best day was the 5th February @ 9.5 kwh.

Worst the 2nd at 2.0 kwh.

    4Kw system South West facing.

Hope I see a few 10kwh plus days this month.

    First month with solar.

523kWh from a 10.4kWp system, 6kW hybrid inverter in south Dublin. Facing a few degrees off south. Two roofs, one at 30ish degrees and the other at 40.

First full month here as well.

152 kWh generated from a 4 kwp SW facing system in Meath.

Looks like the last of my winter shading has gone ('till Nov). Roll on the big jump in March!

Not as good as last Feb. The high pressures seem to bring in more cloud than they used to:

Feeding in more as I got a new battery in Dec and a good night rate 😁, so load shifting without worrying about cloud cover forecast or being obsessed with self consumption (because of FIT). A good day (not perfect) of load shifting looks like this.

That translates into significant cash savings for me. Here's my estimated bill for Jan/Feb comparing my previous supplier plan with my new one:

Still worth shopping around regularly! Know your numbers

6.1 kWp system South of Cork City facing south

322 kWh generated for February, which is what was expected.

Consumed 1,660 kWh for the month, used 59% of it. Got deemed FIT payment of €67 for the months of Jan and Feb

Looking forward to March if it turns out anything like last year (which was epic) it should be double of February. did 774 kWh last March....

    South Roscommon, 8.16Kwp, facing 210° at 35°, 9.6kWh battery

Total generation 315.2kWh (prediction at 339kWh) About a 20% drop on last February

    Consumed 531.20kWh

    Energy from Grid 247kWh

Energy to Grid 23kWh - 93% self use

    To the Eddi 41.2kWh

To the Zappi 157.2Wh (does include night charging figure)

    To the Battery 232.40kWh

    From the Battery 219.5kWh

    Best day 22nd with 27.7kWh

    Worst day 11th with 2.9kWh

Energy exported would have generated €4.14 at Energia FIT rate if on a smart meter, we are D/N.

Felt like another dull month with only 4 days in the 20's.

Some great figures being post for Feb, great to see. Some good sized systems going in as well and it looks like South Dublin, Wicklow etc. saw the best of the sun.

I need to get a plan in place for expansion...😀

February was my first full month too - 5.6kWp system produced 179kWh with a roof mounted SW orientation (215-220 degrees) in north Co. Sligo. not as stellar as some of the figures quoted above but its been so cloudy here I'm not surprised!

Still very happy with it especially as our solar generation outpaced our overall consumption for the month at 153kWh (103kWh imported from the grid). Our Feed in/grid export electricity total for the month was 134kWh. We only had our Eddi connected to new hot water tank since last weekend so expecting that we will see the total solar generation going into self use increasing substantially going forward.

    Update from me,

8.6kwp NE/SW split, 8.4 SW, Up to 40kwh of battery storage now. rates are 27.8day, 7.9 night.

To note the battery discharge at night was a failure of automation.. Have updated a few things, hopefully wont happen again.

could be passing 1200kwh in march. If its anything like last year.

Stopped charging the battery at night about a week ago.

500kwh on the nose for March, just 6% shy of PVGIS estimate so not too bad considering. 50kwh into Eddi, and hardly needed to charge the EV at night at all, and being able to phone manage the night-time battery charging based on next day's general forecast is v handy, so content with self-consumption level. aaand the oil boiler is mostly off now 🥳

My overall solar production for March was 392.6kWh.

    75.5 kWh diverted to Eddi

    221kWh Exported (current FIT price = 0.21/kWh = 46.41 Euro FIT value)

Total Domestic Electricity Consumption (excluding Eddi) = 130.65kWh, solar contributed 35.1kWh and we imported 95.6kWh off the Grid (Post VAT electricity rate = 41cent x 95.6 = 39.19 Euro payable to Billing company)

There were a few good days at the end of the 1st week of March but momentum never really carried over into 2nd half of March. We lost several hours of production on the 15th March (also our worst day of production) when our smart meter had a fault resulting in a 14 hour electricity outage.

Our best day was 10th March =29.2kWh

225kwh from 3kwp sw 1kw ne and as others have said, a poor march. It looks like 300 would be relatively easy. However for me this being the first full year with the 3wp, happy to see the improvement month on month. 55% consumption which could be bettered for the month but is unlikely to rise really over the next few as production rises.

410kwh total used, a fair bit being the tumble dryer which would be less used if we had better weather. So its possible to see this system being self sufficient for March.

Figures are in for the month of March from a 4Kw system on an even East : West split. Based in South Dublin. No battery. 6kW inverter:

    • Total generated: 237 kWh
    • Highest day:  23rd 13.6 kWh
    • Lowest day: 9th 1.74 kWh

Great to see the figures climbing now. Still unsure about the financial benefit of it all. August will mark the 12 month milestone so I’ll do up the figures then and see what it all looks like. No regrets whatsoever in going down the Solar Trail though. It’s the right thing to do.

In terms of using the excess, our tumble dryer uses 1.4kW on 'delicate' setting. Stills dries the same but slower. Perfect to finish clothes to make space for the next wash. Personally I try use it as little as possible though.

Dunno - for me here in south Dublin city last month wasn't great, but I did manage to beat PVGIS by 2.6%. A far cry from the 44% I beat it in March '22, but still it was close enough to being on target.

This month is ok so far - but next weekend looking good by all accounts for the bank holiday.
