In fairness it only went up on 17 December and I've been away for close to half the time since then!

It was the first weekend I was home that month. I usually go end November but there was too much on this year

OH’s uncle finally back to the nursing home from hospital so went to see him at lunchtime. This was looking a bit worse for wear so time to bin.

Kept my eye out for that house on the drive home yesterday, whilst it was still reasonably bright when I drove past it so lights may not have been turned on, it looked like they have taken down all the decor & lights.

Seeing less and less bits around now, we truly have entered 'out of season'.

"I'm driving home from Westport....I can't wait to see those faces " 🎵🎵

The song just went into my head when I read the first line of your post, just amusing myself here ha ha.

Had a bit of a weird moment yesterday on the drive home, hadn't been thinking of Christmas at the time, but when I went to change the Radio station when spinning through the pre-set channels went through the pre-set for Christmas FM & was convinced I heard the start of FONY as I went through onto the next channel, I instantly went back but there was some other temporary channel in that slot playing a song that was most definitely not FONY.

The bizarre thing is I was sure I'd heard FONY.

Was in Lidl yesterday and saw the following. The Hello Kitty was 30% off and they had a few small Christmas treats at the tills with 50% or more off, but the box of chocs and seasons greetings were still full whack.

Funnily enough I haven't seen as much Christmas stock in the supermarkets carry over into the new year as you would normally expect. Maybe they've just gotten better at judging orders!! Though I did notice certain goodies being harder to get in the last couple of weeks before christmas too so maybe they were easing of on the christmas stock from earlier too.

Great spots. Getting harder and harder to come across stuff now.

I think it’s the latter they’re definitely pulling Christmas stock off the shelves earlier.

I’d be checking the expiry dates on those cornflakes 😂😂

But great to see. I still smile when I see the Santa Coke Zero bottles in the shops.

They should replace season's greetings with merry Christmas for full effect!

Absolutely, however can see why large companies have to be more PC these days (not always a good thing).

It will never be "Seasons Greetings" under my roof! Old man rant there ha ha

I was channel surfing through the music channels last night and one channel had all the number 1's of the 80's as a heading and when I clicked on it Shakin' Stevens - Merry Christmas Everyone came on. I couldn't help but leave it on till the end.

I heard or read once that he's made very little from that song over the last 40 years because he didn't write it.

Popped into Lidl to get some rolls for lunch and kids got these for free

They had them at 50c the other day, obviously gave up trying to sell them. Aldi earlier had "cookie for santa" kits for 9c. They'd been slowly going down in price over the last few weeks.

    Bet the kids loved them.

Movies 24 had a Christmas movie on last night called "Nostalgic Christmas" a real Hallmark by the book job.

I had to look up the description of it - "Anne seems to have it all as a driven toy buyer in New York, but her father's retirement signalling the closing of the town's beloved toy store brings the city girl back to her small-town roots". They are not my thing but I know some people love them.

They enjoy the chocolate that came with them more 😂
