Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I don't want to be getting impatient but our passing offense is septic right now.

fields throwing has been piss poor

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,563 ✭✭✭✭peteeeed

    then fields to kmet .......FINALLY

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,902 ✭✭✭✭Realt Dearg Sec

It's just frustrating to watch because there's so many errors. Rushing the ball will possibly work this week, although I have my doubts, but it just won't do against any decent defense, and you can't develop fields by giving the ball to Herbert all day. But whenever they do a passing play, with the exception of the kmet and st Brown passes, it feels like you're just waiting for something to go wrong.

Not sure what to do but I would love to be done with mustipher at center and they need to play Jenkins more.

What the hell was eberflus doing? Are we trying to win the game or not? You have possession, time on the clock, and all your time outs, what sensible reason is there to not try and get a score? The argument that you don't want to concede could apply to every **** possession, so how does that make sense? Idiotic

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,563 ✭✭✭✭peteeeed

i still haven't got my head around that , crazy , if you're 40 points up you should still go for it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,563 ✭✭✭✭peteeeed

the only positive is herbert getting more game time , he looks a class act

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,902 ✭✭✭✭Realt Dearg Sec

Fields, oh my God. He is so bad right now, it's inexcusable. That int is a disgrace.

There's no defending Fields there. His pass protection has been sh*te all day, but he finally got a clean pocket and the play had time to develop only for him to throw a terrible pick into triple coverage.

Maybe the fact he rarely has opportunities to sit in the pocket and throw down the field influenced his decision to let it fly, but it was an awful decision. Can't throw that ball.

He seems to have gone backwards from last year. It's very worrying. Doing better on this drive though. But he looks so nervous generally.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,563 ✭✭✭✭peteeeed

then you see that fast throw to mooney

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,563 ✭✭✭✭peteeeed

smith what a game but hard to be happy with that , a win is a win i suppose

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,363 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

The stench of John Foxball off that game is awful.

I don't mind being a sub .500 team but I can't stand negative, defeatist football.

watching some highlights of the other games over the weekend , its very noticeable how quiet fields is , no emotions on the field , definitely is not a captain, just goes back to his seat and closes his eyes . all the best QB's yesterday were barking out the orders and pumping everyone up . not our guy

Kyler Gordon is having one of the roughest rookie seasons I've ever seen. He's getting cooked on every drive.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,563 ✭✭✭✭peteeeed

the same play working for the giants every time , horrible and no excuse for it , jones is not that quick , he jogged in for that TD

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,363 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

Fields is not seeing open guys every week. I'm starting to worry.

Mooney is wide open for a TD across the middle. If he waits another second he surely sees that throw. He was under no pressure at all but he still scrambled.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,563 ✭✭✭✭peteeeed

i think fields has been a lot better today (not hard ) but its only flashes of a really good QB, no consistency

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,902 ✭✭✭✭Realt Dearg Sec

He's been alright, he's still putting it together but I've seen a lot more good than bad so far. Much more annoyed by the play calling especially in the red zone.

And the d biting on that same fake over and over again, that was unforgivable. At one stage they bit on three fakes in a row, and that didn't include the touchdown. The first of two touchdowns scored that way.

It's worrying that we can't make a stop against a team without a quarterback

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,363 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

We gave up 13 yards when they were direct snapping to the RB. Absolutely amazing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,563 ✭✭✭✭peteeeed

We are a tough watch , nothing to get excited about

    JFC Jones, catch the ball!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,363 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

Luke Getsy is a pussy. Mooney was right when he said he wouldn't be here long, but he won't be leaving for a HC job.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,902 ✭✭✭✭Realt Dearg Sec

I know mistakes happen but that missed catch was unforgivable, it's literally your only job right there

Maybe you could switch over to the Packers thread

just thinking about the last 2 games , the letting the clock run out against the texans and then not going for it when you had time outs . and yesterday when 4th and short when you're 8 points down against a team with no QB worries me a lot , i get that he might be thinking that a good punt might bring a 3 and out further down the pitch but i think you have to go for it . signs that either everfluss doesn't trust his team or he's never going to risk anything or a bit of both

which is one of the many reasons nagy had to go , we were 4th and inches last season when 10 points down in the 4th and he chose to punt and then after said 'yeah that was a mistake '

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,355 ✭✭✭Man Vs ManUre

I had Bears to beat Giants, just shows what a stupid idiot I am.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,902 ✭✭✭✭Realt Dearg Sec

He was very good, and I'm sure he'll find a spot somewhere, would be very bad business to drop Santos for missing a game for personal reasons though, would give a very bad impression of the organisation

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,563 ✭✭✭✭peteeeed

    lovely aaron rogers :)

Sam Mustipher has compromising pictures on someone. No other explanation for him keeping his job.

    ffs a strip , unforgivable

Don't fight for yards, get out of bounds. No excuses...jesus.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,363 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

If we're gonna lose then lose like that, well not exactly like that but you know what I mean. Eberflus woke up at HT and took some chances in the 2nd half. Went for it on 4th. Kicked an onside. Let Fields throw it. If it doesn't work then it doesn't work, but we are sh*te so we might as well try these things.

That strip at the end is why that receiver would be on the practice squad of every other team in the league. Pettis as well with the stone hands.

Fields had a good game for the most part which is all that really matters this year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,563 ✭✭✭✭peteeeed

after the first quarter i was thinking that fields is gone , at the end i thought , he might be the one, he was robbed of a TD by a bullsh!t call too

the play to mooney was a work of art

jones with nice cameo as well

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,563 ✭✭✭✭peteeeed

Where to start with that one . Gifting a terrible team . Dropping balls, wide open WR’s . Dogsh!t

    end the season

It really is a sad state of affairs that this is the best we can hope for as a fanbase, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't enjoying it a little.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,902 ✭✭✭✭Realt Dearg Sec

Now that was an enjoyable victory. I'd still like fields to look more assured in passing plays but he was definitely better in that regard today, a few poor decisions aside. On the ground we were unstoppable, I don't know that other teams will let fields run like that. Defense had their best performance of the year so far. All in all it was a real shot in the arm, not just to win but to see us play enjoyable, competent football, after that horror show from the offense against Washington. Onward and upward!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,563 ✭✭✭✭peteeeed

very enjoyable , a good team performance . fields really can move for a big fella , the 3rd and 14 springs to mind

    onwards and upwards .......i hope

    BOSTON TD PARTY

Every week he makes these wild plays in between the boneheaded ones that make you believe he can be a star. There were 3 or 4 'wow' plays on Monday that only a handful of other QBs could have made.

I've been highly critical of Getsy but he called a great game. I don't know if it's sustainable to run Fields as much as he did on Monday but we'll see.

Robert Quinn also traded to the Eagles for what will be a late 4th given the way their season is going. Thought he should have been traded in the off season when his value was higher but oh well. $125m in cap next year now following that trade.
