As I read elsewhere, the goal was never to actually uncover anything. It was simply to just spread doubt about the electoral process to help gain support for the voter suppression Republicians are engaging in.

Most of the people who doubt the election results won't care about this even if they hear it. Most will dismiss it as fake news, or declare a cover up or cling on to some random part of the report to say that it proves everything.

So while the headline is funny, I think this is still a win for Trump and his boys. They got everything they set out to do with this farce.

It's very weird that no conspiracy theorists have any opinion at all about all the new voting laws being brought based on obvious lies by a sitting president. You'd think they'd be interested in thinking up theories about that...

Well the general idea is that there can't be any ideas that are just false and people believe because they lack critical thinking.

If they exist, then that means that the conspiracy theories that they believe might be one of those ideas. And that leads to doubt and a lack of faith, which is verboten.

So conspiracy theorists have to invent the idea that silly conspiracy theories like Q-anon and flat earth etc are all created by the Shadowy They.

Some people find it easier and more comfortable to dream up a whole global conspiracy that to consider the possibility that they might be wrong.
