    Mildly related, but Qanon supporters are apparently in disarray because inauguration day was supposed to be some sort of "reckoning" whereby Trump would arrest all the Dems, etc. Didn't happen, so now they are confused.

    As the researcher says, the underlying element is these people's conspiratorial mindsets, so they'll find something else to latch onto. Off the top of my head I could probably invent a half dozen right now, so I presume that's already happening on their quack sites.

    So big tech is more powerful than god? Seriously, do an Elsa and get over it. You hitched your wagon to one of the most ridiculous figures in modern politics, I don't why people who claim to be religious are attracted to him. he's a compulsive liar, compulsive adulterer, prideful, wrathful etc.
    Not to mention this dispensationalist streak that has had people predicting the end of the world for the last 2,000 years. And the think that someone like Trump will be the catalyst, mind boggling to say the least. You also seem to have bought in to Q, so what happens to that digital cult now?

    Yup. There's a massive population ready to latch on to some other nonsense and it's interesting/I'm dreading what it's going to be.
    With a little thought and consideration it wouldn't be too hard to come up with something a lot more believable and less easily disprovable than QAnon/Pizzagate which is also worrying.

    It seems to have been mainstreamed into the Republican party over time. You'd expect them to go through some kind of purge of crazies and the Democrats sit back and maybe take in some moderates/independents but I think they will try to pander to their progressive base and blow the opportunity.

    you said god would give trump a second term. He is no longer president. You made no mention of the end of the month. if he isn't president at the end of the month will you just keep changing the date?

    It surprises me that people still think this, even though I sometimes slip into it myself.
    The "Right"'s strength comes from its unity. People who aren't homophobic or racist but want to save a hundred bucks a year will vote for a racist homophobe. People who are against abortion for religious reasons will vote for a cheating double divorcee.
    Gun nuts who have never been to church will vote for someone who'll promise to put the 10 commandments outside a church.

    Maybe (I don't know) it'd be worth the GOP's while to have a superficial purge but they won't be excising a large proportion of their base because it would mean never winning another national election.

    I don't get this, if "god" wants Trump to win, why doesn't he just magically make more people vote for Trump instead of all this convoluted stuff?

    Or are god's powers conveniently limited by your imagination in that regard?
