The usual story in Galway the sun is out in the morning early then clouds over for the whole day ...then the sun comes out again at 8 or 9 oclock when the day is over...its seems when its summertime here and when the sun is at its strongest we get alot of convective cloud must be a mix of the strong sun the cooler air we have most of the time and all the sea the surrounds...and this is nothing new this happens every year... even most of our forecasted good days turn out like this...

Anyway more chance of sun from tomoro onwards as the air should be warmer which might fix the problem...

Like someone flicked a switch at 6pm here in South Laois, clear blue sky from almost fully overcast. Cool enough though at 14c.

Nearby weather station at 39 C, some readings as high as 42 C in BC today (so far) and even hotter in a few places in WA and OR. Brutal. Could go down to Las Vegas to cool off a bit.

I checked Google weather forecast for Vancouver. Forecasts 38c tomorrow and 41c for Monday. The all time record for Vancouver is 34.4°C set in 2009. Google weather on drugs?

Lovely sunny evening in Letterkenny for a change. Was nice and warm early on but quickly cooled down, out for some pints for the evening and it was Baltic sitting outdoors from around 8pm onwards even with a light jacket on.

And that's fair enough. Just as well I love summer rains!... only we actually haven't seem much of that either this season so far. A spit here, a spot there. It's all been very zzzzz.

After it rains non stop from fall through spring you're like, you know what? I need more rain.

Lovely day in Cobh so far, not a cloud in the sky. 18C already but unfortunately a bugger of a sea breeze has set in. 25kmh gust so far.

A lovely bright start to the day in Castlebar, going to make the most of it as it looks like it will cloud over in the afternoon.

I notice the grass growth is lowest for inland south east Ireland this week, probably due to the very dry ground, not much rain in recent times.

Max of 21.2C here in Cobh today but that seabreeze is a pain. Lovely day nonetheless.

Hopefully we can keep cloud to a minimum over the next 5 days. Today is absolutely beautiful after a fairly cool and cloudy start to the day. Blue skies for past few hours and temperatures getting very close to 20c.

The following 5 to 6 days will be slightly warmer than today in general. There is a threat of showers becoming more widespread from Wednesday but hopefully we can keep those at bay until the weekend, however next weekend we will most likely keep the warmth even if it turns unsettled.

Really great day here in Kerry, apart from some cloud mid morning it has been sunshine all the way. Keen breeze mind you since the early afternoon which is probably making it cool at the beach but grand here with some shelter. Got up to 17.9C and currently 16.8C.

Quite good across the country, bit cool in Northern counties.

Very important we keep the warmth. Makes the rain more bearable.

low 20's possible in many areas tomorrow as long as it remains sunny like today, so maybe a degree or two warmer tomorrow.
