Why did the door of the oxygen room go flying off when Kendrick opened it up?

The oxygen room was on the opposite end of the tether from the module where they lived, with the solar power bit in the middle. The whole thing spun around the solar module to have artificial gravity where they lived, but that meant there was also artificial gravity in the oxygen room also.

    oxygen room=================solar================habitation

You questioned why the door went flying off but not why she needed to use a rope to climb down to the oxygen room door, same reason :D

Shadow and Bone has an air of GOT about it, but no where near the strong story line of GOT.

Quite fragmented, I think. Maybe it will get better - on Ep. 4. Anyone else watching it?

I finished it during the weekend, I've seen the comparison to GoT but I think that's purely as they're both based on fantasy books!

I haven't read the books but I enjoyed the series but I'm a huge fantasy fan so I'm a little biased. It definitely feels rushed in places but overall, it kept my attention for the 8 hours and I'm definitely on board for season 2.

    Bit of a contrast there

Finished Call My Agent last weekend - really enjoyed it. Thought it was a good ending for the series, but then read on Wikipedia that there's going to be a movie and a new series. A little conflicted, as I thought it was finished and they finished it well, but would definitely watch more of it. Hope they don't feck it up...!

I have one episode left, which I’ve been holding off watching until necessary! Excellent concept for a series imo; I’ve really enjoyed it :)

Yes, I saw that it was renewed for another series....! Kind of a weird move, but I suppose given that it was a sleeper hit, it makes sense to bank on it further... I also hope that they don’t make a hames of it :pac:

Been watching The Irregulars, it doesn't seem to know what it is, I've about an episode and a half left so will finish but not impressed

I went off it a few episodes into Season 2. It got a bit boring. Is it worth going back to?

Well, I finished it, so obviously I liked it. It's essentially the same story of the agency in peril told four times, but with major differences. Some people find the arrival of Hicham in season 2 to be grating, and it took me a while to stop being annoyed by him (can't bear manbuns) but every episode has a real-life actor taking the piss out of their celebrity and it's always funny and dramatic. The Juliette Binoche-starring finale of season 2 is glorious. YMMV obviously, but me and my OH really enjoyed the ride.

Yeah, I felt Hicham made season 2 more difficult. He was just such a di*k and got in the way of the other characters' chemistry. But he did soften a bit and become bearable. There are parts of seasons 2-4 just as good as in 1. Hervé is just brilliant throughout.

Just finished season 2 of snow piercer.

Imo it’s not near as good as season 1.
Even with such a big actor like S.B main billing the storyline lacked the punch of the 1st season.
    Felt rushed tbh
    5/10

Watched Dealer yesterday. French mini series about a camera man being sent into a really dodgy estate in Marseille to do a music video for an up and coming gangster rapper. quite a strange format as it's basically 10 episodes of 15 minutes. Enjoyable overall

If so, quality show. One of the best show's i've seen in a long long time.

I think that they are taking about the MMA one just by their comment, but maybe I'm wrong...I've seen and enjoyed both!!

Netflix is adding a Play Something feature for those who spending to much time browsing and can't pick anything to watch.
Netflix acknowledged today that choice can sometimes be too much of a good thing as the world’s biggest streamer officially unveiled a new user option called ‘Play Something’ — where “Netflix does all the work for you.”

“There are times when we just don’t want to make decisions. A Friday evening after a long work week. A fridge full of food but nothing jumps out. A family movie night where no one can agree. We’ve all been there. Sometimes you just want to open Netflix and dive right into a new story. That’s why we’ve created ‘Play Something’,” Cameron Johnson, the streaming giant’s Director, Product Innovation, wrote in a blog post Wednesday.

“When you hit the ‘Play Something’ button, you’ll be instantly met with a series or film we know you’ll love based on what you’ve watched before.” Or, with one more click, you can ‘Play Something Else’,” he said.

The tab sits underneath a user’s profile name, and on the navigation menu on the left side of the screen, and also on the tenth row of a user’s Netflix homepage – maybe for subscribers who still want to scan, for a bit, among the thousands shows and movies.

“When finding your next story, let the story find you,” Netflix said.

It could offer up either a brand new series or film, a series or film you’re already watching, that’s on your list, that’s unfinished but you may want to revisit.

I've used it a couple of times. Watched and enjoyed the first one (can't remember what it was). The second suggestion was a load of tripe!

I remember the recommendation thing Netflix used to have where you'd say what type of film you wanted, it would take a few seconds then offer you a few suggestions. Don't think it ever offered me anything at all I wanted to watch. Maybe they have better algorithms now.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

I think it helps if you thumbs up or down some of the shows/films you've watched - only started doing it recently and while the suggestions aren't perfect all the time they have got much better

Unless you can set "play something" to just play random episodes of the office, I'm not interested

I was just thinking how Netflix needed a random button today.

That "Play Something" feature sounds horrendous, for me at least. The last thing I want to do is watch a random show when I don't know the genre, the plot, the cast, what the reviews are like etc. Maybe there are people out there that like to take a gamble and don't really care if they spend an hour or more on a show that they find out they hate?

I've had that play something option for a couple of months now. I tried it once or twice but it didn't do much for me. Did they do something new with it or what?

I think it's more to solve the problem of indecision people face when they just end up browsing Netflix all night. I do think it would be better if you could configure it to say play something from your list, or whatever; it'll be interesting to see if the algorithm it uses is any better than the recommendations it makes which can be spotty.

Maybe you were part of a beta trial of the feature without knowing it?

When I tried it, it played the next episode of the Office from where I was and a documentary I think. It's wasn't stuff that was wildly off what I've watched in the past.

Tbf, you take a gamble everytime you watch something new. I've watched critically acclaimed stuff that has just bounced off me or randomly started watching something without knowing anything about it and ending up loving it.
