    I'm playing God of War again. I don't know why but I'm liking it more the second time around. Think it's because it's a new game + and I'm doing a lot more damage. I mean I liked it the first time but liking it more. One thing I do think is a bit OTT is the gear and what it does, it's unnecessarily complex. I don't really know if I'm optimised.

    I wouldn't worry about optimising your gear if it is just a standard playthrough. You only really need to do this for stuff like the last Valkyrie and higher difficulties etc.

    It is also really good with a decent surround sound system, I had it upmixed to Dolby Atmos and it sounded ****ing amazing.

    I'm pretty sure the only proper way of listening to binaural recordings are headphones with no other spatial processing at all.
    Proper as in getting the sound image that they intended.

    I'll have to invest in a decent headset now that I have one of the new consoles. Arctis 7X is on top of my list at it's wireless and Series X and PS5 compatible.

    Forza Horizon 4 is gas. I had some fancy yellow Italian sports car sliding everywhere through the Scottish snow and ice. I definitely know why Edinburgh is bereft of people in that game. Otherwise it'd be getting an 18 cert.
