Wow Favier on radio saying Doctors are right to be cautious and ultra conservative and leave hands off approach

This is exactly what kills patients from all sorts of diseases in this country.

A watch and wait until the **** hits the fans.

    What an absolute ****e show.

More people are dying of catching COVID or getting seriously ill than bloody average Adverse reactions.

I was asked if I had had the flu vaccine before, if I had I didn't have to wait around for 15 minutes. But first timers did.

Jaysus, looking at Facebook today a lot of people expect Michael Martin to convince Joe Biden to hand us over a couple of million jabs during the St Paddy's Day Zoom call.

Never been asked to wait around after the flu vaccine in all my years of getting it which whilst I've not taken every year and can't remember when I first took it, I've been eligible for over 20 years. Can't remember being asked to hang around for some previous out of the ordinary vaccines either back in the day.

Last years flu vaccine took me about 5 minutes in total between leaving my front door and being back home again afterwards they were so efficient with getting people in and out.

I was asked this year just to stay close to the pharmacy for 10-15 mins.

Whenever my children are getting a new vaccine in the schedule I was told to wait for 10 mins just incase there was a reaction

I'm shocked that they aren't asking you.
All flu vaccines I've had I've had to wait around after for 15 minutes.
Also my children, I've been asked to wait close by with them after every vaccines they've had - flu, hpv mmr.. everything.
It's in case of adverse reactions.

How long are we suspending for? France are doing 24 hrs, Spain are doing 2 weeks.

Until there's an EMA update on it. Yesterday it sounded like they didn't expect it to last more than this week.

Looks like we'll know by Thursday and likely to be a resumption.

    Until they complete their review.

I think they have a meeting on Thursday to discuss their findings.

Hopefully they have a decision then.

Asked every year to wait 15 minutes . They even had an area with two chairs so we could sit down and wait in the pharmacy . Quite shocked you haven’t ever been advised to wait around actually

I had a very similar experience to Robin. The priority was to get people in and out with as little contact as possible which I completely agree with under the circumstances.

The other patients I saw were elderly and vulnerable.

The lack of urgency summed up with the pausing of the vaccination of the medically vulnerable despite what the EMA and WHO say. Its currently deemed too risky to inoculate, with AZ, the people most likely to have a bad outcome if infected with Covid. Europe could not handle the vaccine rollout worse if they tried.

They are also the group most at risk of any vaccine effects. Pause was a tough call to make, late Sat/Sun night. But will resume soon IWT and should take comfort from the speedy review.

If Johnson & Johnson hit the ground running next month a lot can be forgiven. If they don't the EU vaccination programme is without doubt a shambles.

Look how cohesive the US's vaccination programme has been. Joint together thinking, assisting in every stage of production with the private companies... something the EU should have been doing last year but only realised it in Feburary 2021.

It's up to you to set the British and EU vaccination authorities straight.

Ultimately, 30k doses is a just over a days vaccinations. So its really insignificant as we will catch up in no time. Its just another dose of bad news. The EU really needs a bit of good news sooner rather than later.

In fairness, at least 35m EU produced doses have been exported to various countries around the world. Plenty is being produced in the EU, they are just allowing others share in it until some.

They should have the vaccines that were due to be given Sunday - Thursday all moved to some MVCs and vaccinate through the night on Thursday once they get the okay.

Do we know when the over 70s with higher risks are due for the vaccine?
