Cannabis sector is on a bull run again.

2 small tips would be Organigram and Medipharm. Probably only 1 or two days left in it.

Bought into Clever Leaves off the back of a tip on here a week or so ago, thanks to whoever posted!

    Up 25% today

Do they listen to requests?, would absolutely love to have SMT on there, did you just email support?

Ya I got them to add about 4 stocks a while back. Had to ring them up though, then it was on the system the next day. Good service from that point of view.

This definitely has to be the top!

I read up about Chamath guy and decided to place a buy order for appox $500 each on OpenDoor and CLOV.

OpenDoor model sounds sus, I mean buying houses online based on a video tour and flipping quickly - I mean, buyers stlll need mortgage etc don't they, hardly buying used cars with cash in hand? And CLOV getting grief from short sellers, sounds like vultures doing vulture things.. so I felt bad for my man and decided to side with him. Someone please talk me out of this!

I've bid on a house online without a viewing! You can always say no once you see it .

Also colleague at work just bought a car online without viewing. Delivered in 2 weeks.

Kingspan down almost 20% from the highs of the past few months on the back of news connecting it to the Grenfell fire. At what price do people think it becomes a buy?

Ok I think I can finally say I've spotted a pattern for the next cannabis pump (think this one will peter out soon).

As the main players go up, there is a scramble into the canna-pharma space (penny stocks really). When noobs see the high price per share of the main players they want to get rich quick and scramble around for some hype on smaller entrants. There is usually a time-lag of one-three days.

Next time around, once there is a big announcement (examples: yesterday's announcement of Jazz taking over GW, more legalisation news in US, Aphria/Tilray merger, Canopy's integration with Constellation Brands), have a look at the small guys.
I've no doubt it'll dip again in about a months time if there's no further news. This will the time to consider the smaller caps.

At the moment my small pharma players to watch are
    • Medipharm
    • Radient Technologies Inc
    • Revive Theraputics (tipped on here, phase 3 covid treatment!)
    • InMed (Working on synthesis in the lab as opposed to extraction from warehouses of thousands of plants)
    • Akerna (Mentioned on here... a picks and shovels player )
    • Champignon Brands (psychedelics treatment... be a while before you'd see this stuff covered on the VHI but I think the psychedelics space is the next green rush).

others I've an interest in are:
    • Greenrose Acquisition Corps. (SPAC someone tipped here a while ago... long way to go , maybe get in and get out before it fizzles out)
    • Organigram (They were belle of the ball on r/weedstocks a few years ago (along with ACB, APH and CGC). Taken a real trouncing but seem to be making a comeback.

Might be time to get out or reduce Holdings. Up 100% since last week. Only way is down.

Yes I'm 4% down overall. Nothing compared to if the CCIV merger does not go through for me. Fingers crossed.

Should we start looking at opportunities here ->

    https://www.businessinsider.com/oregon-first-ever-state-to-legalize-psilocybin-for-therapeutic-use-2020-11?r=US&IR=T

Lancet Commission on Global Mental Health estimates that mental disorders could cost the global economy up to $16 trillion between 2010 and 2030. The FDA has opened the door for clinical trials and several are underway for mental health and addiction treatments. Canaccord values the market for psychedelic-inspired treatments at up to $100 billion. https://www.baystreet.ca/stockstowatch/9311/Psychedelic-Drugs-Could-Create-a-100-Billion-Investment-Opportunity

    Peter Thiel ->
    https://www.cnbc.com/2020/11/23/peter-thiel-backs-psychedelics-startup-atai.html

This tells me that psychedelic medicine might just be a whole new asset class. Looking at MindMed and Compass Pathways.

Yeah pshychadelic research has been ramping up recently and has been the next hot stocks for a while. I've gotten in on the Cannabis train early and today it's smashing it through the roof. I'd say the psychadelics market will start to grow soon.

Alteryx down almost 17% - I've been DCA'ing into it over the last few months so a big enough hit, can see it dripping to 110 where it usually carries support. Long term (2022) can see it getting to 200$ a share, any one else in on it?

How did you guys manage to fk things up , that we have ended up with 2 threads to track Share Picks for 2021 , and leading to the exclusion of WallStBets insight or Reddit info, one of the most disruptive forces in a generation that will aid the retail investors against the IIs institutional investors.

Its was such a simple elegant solution, one thread , one job to do, track picks for 2021 all with a view to helping retail investors (who are busy and not generally full-time traders) compete with trading houses that do this 24x7 , but ye managed to fk it up.

Let me guess someone got offended by the content of one thread and wanted another thread to fit their entitlement view of the world .

How fking ignorant to think that the greatest short squeeze in history (albeit cheated out of its real returns) and on a par with Soros run on the Bank Of England did not merit discussion in the original 'SHARE PICKS 2021' thread .

This is what your dealing with with this generation, when they dont understand something, missed the boat on it, made their own bad choices or generally too thick to appreciate whats actually going on at the multi-levels involved, they cry foul jump on some moral high ground and fk it up for everyone.

In the past I did consider creating a seperate thread for EVs, but thats already taken care of. But this is on a whole different scale.

Only in this snowflake infected world of investing you can have a thread tracking the markets for 2021 and not merit the input off 6 million retail investors trading , discussing and moving markets.. yes MOVING the fking market, all because they call each other apes and use clever memes !!!

I fking knew it, only a matter of time before investing became another cesspit of the 'woke'

edit : posting in both threads ,

A separate thread for the YOLO conversation is wokeness? Really?

The only thing worse than the woke brigade is those that see it everywhere, when it's nowhere to be seen. You're fighting your own shadow.

I like the company and used to be invested, but found them incredibly frustrating with their results. Their last 3 quarterly results, they were down 28%, 20% and now 16% today the day after results. Theres a guy on Twitter I follow who said they are really bad at explaining their growth figures, so they grow back up again in the folliwing 3 months, only to repeat it again. Someday they'll get properly valued, and you're right, it could be about $200/share, but I lost patience with them

Great call on this (so far at least), up comfortably over 100% in a little over a week since you posted.

KR1 got added to the US Pink Sheets today, ticker KROEF

edit : posting in both threads ,

The reason this thread was setup was because it was really annoying with all the GME talk going on. Some of us have no interest in getting involved, it wasn't because of your reasoning you mentioned either. I wasn't prepared to take a risk, if I wanted to do that I would just play roulette. The thread was full of updates on the price, it was like assh*les on FB saying 'oh my god its snowing' like we didn't have windows in our houses..

So at the time a lot of us were glad to not have GME talk clutter what the thread was meant to about.

If mods did their job there wouldn't be any issue as it was asked days ago numerous times fore the threads to be merged.

I'd hold on to Aphria though. No knowing what way it'll go with a merger. Because of arbitrage Tilray needs to stay high as possible, fingers crossed.

Anyone here got AESE? Another esports play, I bought a bunch at 1.58 a few weeks ago and it's at 2.54 now. Still only 100m market cap right now, tonnes of room to grow. Esports are more popular than regular sports nowadays. I will be holding these for a while

AESE up another 32% today. Doubled in the month I've owned it now. Still tiny market cap

Whoever mentioned Kingspan, I'm considering buying some soon. A 20% discount for a well run Irish company who suffered a temporary blip. If it drops further, I'll buy more
