Started SW 18th Jan, today I’m a stone lighter.
Miles to go yet as hoping to lose 2 more stone, but I’m making healthy changes that I hope to keep going for life rather than a diet for a few weeks.

Well done on your progress so far. You are right to try learn lifestyle changes rather than a diet as diets do not work. 85% of people on a diet will regain the weight after 1 year. Its a huge industry - Remember that SW is a business, they are there to make money, but that's not to say you cant learn about healthy choices from them and if it is a good starting point for you, stick with it.
Personally I dont like them attaching syn values to food / saving up syns to have something nice / the dread if you are up a lb on the scale. There is no such thing as bad food - its just food. Yes if you eat take away 5 nights a week you will feel like crap because you aren't getting the nutritional benefit of food, but for a SW leader to tell someone they could have eaten a Mars bar instead of an avocado, that rings alarm bells for me.
Anyway hope you get what you need from it.

Have been following the Joe wicks app since Jan 4th. He’s a big proponent of looking at inches lost rather than weight itself. I found I was only down circa 2 kg after 4 weeks but had lost 10cm from my waist etc.

I don’t always stick to the meals on a Saturday and Sunday so progress is a bit behind what it could be. Have managed to do 5 workouts a week though which has been great.
That’s fantastic. I’ve been doing his you tube 20 minute ones when I haven’t been able to fit in my online gym one. I’m a bit disheartened as I got a Fitbit and have been getting in my steps along with heavier exercise but I’m going slightly up in weight!

Starting weight (end of Dec) 12st 8lb
    3rd Jan - 12st 6 lb
    10th Jan - 12st 4 lb
    17th Jan - 12st 2 lb
    23rd Jan - 12st
    30th Jan - 11st 12 lb
    6 Feb - 11st 11lb

Only a pound gone this week but didn't get as much exercise in as I'd have liked. Had a few drinks last night and a fry this morning!! Gonna hit the rower every day and do some core strengthening this week.

I’m just doing it at home, not going to meetings etc. Learning healthy alternatives for cooking stuff I love and low fat swaps. And yes, it’s all about veg veg fruit and more veg. I roughly follow the syn values, but there are days I wouldn’t even use one, and others I’d use them all and a bit more. It’s about moderation for sure, but like you said it’s all food. I like that I don’t have to weigh and measure everything, and I’m getting results, and feeling healthier, so I’m delighted. I’m going to start some exercise soon, but as I said before with 4 kids I literally never leave my feet all day.

Another pound, which I'm delighted with cos it's time of the month so usually would be up rather than down :) Plus had a nice few slices of key lime pie, as well as a fillet steak with buttery mash and pepper sauce at the weekend :pac:

If you have the space you are as well to buy your own equipment.

No traveling and being tied down for certain times.20 mins each way would be a nice 40min work out at whenever time suits you best.

By leaving the total loss up every week it helps my motivation, particularly when it's not going very well.

Welcome back Hordors. Think we're all a bit slow getting going The time of year will help in another week or two. Once the weather picks up this time of year it definitely makes you more willing to pick up on the excercise front.

Well done! Just curious, and no judgement here, everyone's weight loss journey is personal, but you seem a healthy weight? Do you have much left to really lose :)

No, not a lot to lose, but I feel that's often the hardest - when you only have about 10/12 pounds to lose - I'd like to get below 10 stone - around 137/138 lbs and I'd be happy :)

Definitely agree, that last stubborn bit is the hardest, best of luck with it :)

No move on the scales this week unfortunately still a stone down since Jan 18th. Hope to get some exercise in next week, I just steal a few minutes outside in the yard when I can as the kids are small, but this week the weather was awful.

One stone gone since start of year. Very happy! Had a few 'bold' homemade dinners this week - lasagne oozing with cheese/white sauce and butter chicken :) but breakfasts and lunches were healthy. Started doing some weights again, first time since baby was born, want to tone my arms before summer. 1st 8lb to go

Wow that's brilliant weight loss well done. It's so much harder to get out in the bad weather. Hopefully this stint is the last of it and we get a proper spring.

    Tremendous progress.
Just keep doing the right thing every day or most days and let the scales read whatever it reads on Patricks Day ....... you'll be very close to it worst case scenario.
