    What you missed is ;
The Supreme court has thrown the case out on being filled incorrectly. they have virtually told Texas how to file it correctly so they can hear it, and they have done so with a motion to hear.IOW the SC CAN'T avoid hearing this case once so filed.

Also, it seems that a little known county, called ironically ARMAGH county PA might be the key to this. Apparently, the voting machines recorded a dead tie on setting up a marijuana shop in the country of 262/262, and when a recount was demanded, by the plaintiff, three ballots were destroyed by the machine and not transferred or replaced. As well as registering on a recent 85% of the votes for Trump and over 115% for Biden!!!

Meantime, ol SnifferJoe has discovered that he cant use full executive action to ban "assault rifles " either. As he said in a leaked audiotape. "The next guy who comes along could say "guess what? Using my executive power as president machine guns are legal again!"

Here's the thing Joe...what are you gonna do when NOONE complies with your diktats? As no one has done on a state law level in NJ or PA with registering or surrendering high cap mags.A massive WILL NOT COMPLY movement is on the way over there if you try pushing this.

I watched this video a few weeks ago and its clear voting machines or electronic voting or whatever is still a seriously bad idea. While Biden is bad, he'll be gone quickly and Harris will be president and then, the serious poop will hit the fan.

It seems however Santa got a guest slot on Steven Crowders online show and explained that the NorthPole also has a problem with Communism and that it was a Santa imposter.(Like the current supposedly US president
elect) Also,Santa made a special stop over to bring the little fellah a bunch of nerf guns.

Newsmax, the TV news channel, also got wind of this and sent him and his family so many that the family donated the excess to local charities.

Well, good luck with that you dirty ol man and your VP Hoe. I can see some very serious eruptions in the USA in 2021 if this imposter and election thief gets in.

So the time for owning an unlicensed semi auto rifle will be the same as having an unlicensed select fire rifle....You might as well be then hung for a sheep as a lamb and throw in a lightning link converter to make it full auto and test fire it on the BATF goons who show up to confiscate and arrest you and shoot your dog! Which I can see happening

The democrat's gun control plans in general are completely illogical and would never work, and would probably kick start some sort of "boogaloo". Also, what's the story with polymer 80%s being investigated/seized? In most states you can make any gun you could buy, like not a machine gun or short barreled rifle, I know you can't do this in New Jersey but I doubt all of this is in Jersey.

Biden and co had a meeting with the ATF and 80% lowers are one of their targets. Stamps.com and Authorize.net have given the ATF the names and addresses of people who bought from polymer 80. The ATF are now going door to door to people who bought these kits. The ATF also visited Brownells and Midway.

Hey now. Don't you know that now a Democrat is back in the White house that speaking about the first lady is off limits.

An op-ed piece in the Wall street journal asked to stop referring to her [biden's missus] as Doctor seeing as how her doctorate is for education and Dr. makes it sound like she is a GP/MD. The press jumped all over this and called the author a sexist, fascist, bigot, etc.

Then at a photo op she was asked about her pedophile step son and immediately "blockers" stepped in to block of the press access to her, while staffers ushered her out of the room.

As a chap i was talking to on another forum said "if you think your life is hard have some sympathy for the secret service guy that has to justify giving white house security clearance to hunter biden" :D

If you delete the Biden name and insert Trump into this post, can you imagine the media reporting ? They would be all over it like flys on poop, these leftie woke comedians would be on RTE or BBC morning noon and night slagging him off. But as its Biden..............crickets chirping

It's not so much the lowers per se.It was the "buy, build, shoot " kits that ATF is going after. They are virtually the entire gun with an 80% lower. Apparently, Polymer 80 hadn't cleared these with ATF, and apparently a couple of these kits were used in some police shootings in the Summer.
No real reason for Polymer to declare them either as both 80 lower and upper parts are legal to possess and build into a functional firearm for personal use as it stands in most states.
Dunno why no one just says if the ATF shows up thru their LAWYER."well I fuked up drilling the holes, and the lower was useless,so I dumped it months ago in a plastic shredder/or furnace, and I still have the other parts for my other rifles.Or did I sell those to some guy on Craigslist?Or was it that guy in the bar I met?

Seems a silly concept for a "ghost gun" if you buy it off a company and it is traceable by credit card sales etc. Would have thought it would be smarter to buy an 80% reciver for cash someplace, and then do the "Johnny Cash Cadillac" on the rest of the parts from all over the place by cash ,or buy an upper off someone and stash it?

The Czech Republic got it into their constitution a RTKBA.Now,I wonder will they accept political refugees from Ireland and the UK?

    Firearms United [Finland] press release

Yesterday the Czech Parliament approved proposal 54:0.
The details are still a bit unclear but we can already tell you the following:
Tsekin aselain ensimmäinen artikla alkaa sanoilla: "The right to acquire, keep and bear arms is guaranteed under conditions set by this enactment"
Czech Republic is the first country in Europe to now have ′′ Right to keep and bear arms ". A small step in the right direction, and surely something that will cause a huge amount of trouble among people who support limiting legal hobbies.
At the same time, another historic first step was implemented: CCW reciprocity in Europe. Czech Republic is the first country to acknowledge CCW (protective weapon) permits from other countries.
A true Christmas present for the hobby community.

If an EU law clashes with a National Law (e.g. Czech Constitution), then EU law has superiority.

So if the EU ban lead in bullets etc. or ban certain types of guns, surely the Czechs will have to follow such legislation?

Still a good news story though.

Getting a bit fractious the eastern europeans, they had the ability to scupper the 750bn euro covid package, and the eu had to hold their noses to get Hungary an Poland to agree with it.

Fair play to the Czechs - had a great trip there a couple of years ago and was well impressed with the beautifull scenery, friendly people and interesting wildlife. Also learnt that they get most of the energy from nuclear power, and you could tell cos unlike Germany and Scotland etc. they haven't destroyed their countryside with ugly giant white elephants!!

To be fair, there's really nothing meaningful the EU can do. Sure they can without funds but then so do the Czechs, so that doesn't work for them. I really do admire the Czechs for standing up to the EU and taking back control of their national integrity, something I wish our sorry spineless excuses of politicians would do.

Norway, while not in the EU (they voted against joining in 1994) are in the economic area, have to pay into the eu and abide by the rules. A eurosceptic party is topping the polls and they want to renegotiate the deal they have with the EU, which they say stinks.

Here it is people. Best part is, and please God sense the sarcasm, anything and I mean anything that the Government find offensive will be banned.

The really scary part of all this is you don't have to be abusive or overtly threatening for it to be classed as hate speech. Even politely worded speech if deemed hateful or inciting hatred, BUT NOT THREATENING, will be prosecutable.

Every newspaper, journalist, publisher, college and their lecturers, and anyone with a tiny amount of common sense should fight this tooth and nail. Its Orwellian. Look at what happened in France with the charlie hebdo cartoons etc.

My sister is up in arms over her little one at school having to now do an "lgbtq" class with all the other kids. They get an hour a week of lecturing about hate speech, how saying ANYTHING that can hurt someone elses feelings is wrong, and then they are let loose around the school to find pieces of paper with acceptable pronouns on them.

Last week the class was about the pogues song "Fairytale of New York", how the words of that song were wrong, but some people with outdated attitudes didn't mind it. They concluded that its ok to listen to the song, and even to sing along with it provided you did not think about what the words mean !

First, they came for your lead shot, now they are coming for your clay pigeons!! It never stops, and THIS IS WHY people have got to stop beliving that appeasements and "Nothing to do with me! I shoot....XYZ" attitudes will keep them from being eventually thrown to the wolves.

Committees raise concern over persistent and toxic chemical in clay targets
    ECHA/NR/20/41

ECHA’s scientific committees raise serious concerns over industry’s applications to continue using coal tar pitch, high temperature in the manufacture of clay targets.

Helsinki, 14 December 2020 – Clay targets or clay pigeons are breakable targets used in sports shooting. Coal tar pitch, high temperature (CTPHT) contains polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), which break down slowly in the environment, build up in humans and animals and are toxic (PBT/vPvB). They may also cause cancer.

The Committees for Risk Assessment (RAC) and for Socio-economic Analysis (SEAC) estimated that continued use of CTPHT in clay targets will pollute our environment each year with several hundred tonnes of PAHs. There are also health risks to people through the environment, for example through food. Moreover, there are alternatives available to using CTPHT in clay targets.

Because of these reasons, the committees raised substantial concerns over the use of CTPHT in clay targets in their opinions – adopted in the December meetings. The Commission will take these opinions into consideration when preparing its decision – in consultation with Member States – whether to grant or refuse the authorisation.

ECHA is investigating the need to prepare a restriction proposal to address the risks of CTPHT in products, particularly clay targets, that are placed on the market or imported into the EU.

In the December meeting, RAC and SEAC also evaluated other applications for authorisation, restriction proposals and harmonised classification and labelling, and a request from the European Commission regarding a revision of derogations from earlier restriction on PFOA/PFCAs. Their main conclusions are available in the annex.

That law would get torn to shreds in the Supreme Court,
The fact they still are pushing it through is worry enough. I'm not even close to being near to the same galaxy as a legal expert and i see so many problems with this. Such as (and for God's sake if someone sees errors in my thinking then point them out so i don't look too much like an ass)
    • The first being who decides what topics are covered.
    • At what point does speech become hate speech.
    • Are people, under our constitution (article 40.6), not entitled to criticize what they want and openly discuss any topic (with the limited exceptions of sedition or topics which undermine the Government and public order/morality).
    • What about people's right to such things as religious freedoms which will be at odds with current views on topics such as LGBTQ, etc.
    • The immunity under the bill to certain groups seems to introduce a system of segregated laws.
I'm sure there are plenty more issues but it'll take someone with a better education than i to know them.
there’s no way racism or bigotry or any idea the government doesn’t like is “inciteful” or “seditious”.
The new act would "delete" the need for incitement. The simple act of copying a post/article, let alone writing it, that is insulting or abusive would now be classed as a crime. In her own words the Minister said she wants to tackle such crimes.

Another bit of the linked article that bothers me is the section on preventing "public figures" from garnering support for their harmful content. Now i'm not excusing such content by whomever decides to post it, but it reads as a "we [the government] are going to silence unwanted or disliked speech by people that don't agree with us" and Grizzly's link shows some of the reasons this is a bad idea.

If you have someone spouting vitriol and bile then you need to shine a light on it and disenfect them through discussion, debate and as the video said showing them for the fools they are.

Something the video does not go into but would be a consequence of such "silencing" is pushing these people into darker and more secret corners of the internet. There it/they can fester, gather support that would not have normally been forthcoming, and that resentment and anger will build until it may at some point in the future manifest in action.

On a somewhat sideways note i have to, well i hesitate to say laugh as it's not funny but i don't know any other word to use for it, but the man that kick started this hate speech campaign was the son of one of the most notorious anti-semite's in Irish history and the actual biggest one in Irish politics/Government. He urged the Government at the time to emulate the Nazis and said in the Dáil:
There is one thing that Germany did, and that was to rout the Jews out of their country. Until we rout the Jews out of this country, it does not matter a hair's breadth what orders you make.

Where the bees are there is the honey, and where the Jews are there is money.
He then pushed for emergency orders to prevent Jewish refugees from entering Ireland.

Something that's been bothering me for years is the grinding march of statism, what I mean is the growing intrusion of the state into my life, coupled with the petty tyranny of tech companies and bureaucrats (computer says no).

Planning permission was introduced here around 1976, I think. For a time, it still felt like the politicians were answerable to the voters, but as we got deeper and deeper entwined into the EU (a political union, as distinct from the EEC we joined in 1973 which was an economic community (alright, we ratified that change when we voted on it the second time in a year)), the state grew and grew, until soon posts like this will be deemed seditious - by the government- and I will be punished.

On a brighter note, maybe FG will sanction FF under this legislation for sedition or even, heaven forbid, hurt feelings.

Here is why hate speech laws are so dangerous. More accurately why its so dangerous because of those that will be writing it.

It seems one badly run range has caused the police and government in the UK to look for changes in the laws over there, the majority being penalised for the minority. It looks like the "Gangsta's" were making use of the facilities.

Got half way through that video and stopped. This is a situation of their own making, both the range operators and the Government. One that was able to skirt by without licenses, certification and oversight and the other that, well, got away without having to provide the afore mentioned licenses, certifications and oversight.

Its a situation we don't have here because ranges are not only defined but have their very own part of the firearms Act and a whole SI to govern the setting up, running, licensing and legal requirements.

The thing is its a system that never caused any issues previously, then one twit decides to run a complete sh1t-show of a range, letting everyone else down. Its a system that the boy scouts use for instance. I believe years ago a lot of pubs, especially in rural parts of the UK, had a miniature rifle range attached.

Its like here, everyone got their centrefire pistols back, everything was sweet, then that sawn-off wannabe with his kilt, wolfhound and band of walts spoiled it for everyone.

What do you mean by the sawn off wannabe? I haven't heard about that one, what happened?

And the git didn't even have to leave his desk. Walty O'walt strutting around getting fools throwing shapes and waving guns around was all the ammunition he needed to ban everything he wanted.

Coincidentally he wasn't the only one in the shooting world involved in Walting. Colin kenzie who many will remember as a writer in the "Shooting times" magazine appeared on the web with all sorts of outlandish military claims that were hot air.

Unknown quantity...AFFIK didn't respond to the NARGC pre-election questionnaire last year?
Needs to be done more often, and with more publicity that questionnaire.
