Here's another one with two white men, and two that I cant quite figure out, one may be a lesbian, one is either a woman with short hair, or a man in a homosexual relationship with a brown man...

What are you on? :D There's two white men there.
Fierce tanned they are then. :D Not nearly as pale as the ladies in it.
Here's another one with two white men,
Actually there are three pale of face in that one. And a Lesbian couple with a Black child. Nice box ticking there.

The point is neither of them come within an asses roar of the demographics and realities of Ireland. If they did the colours would effectively be reversed. It's a pretty good example of government "wokism".

And my point about the "Woke" and their hierarchy of "race" is very evident wherever you find them.

But the stamps always had a "brown" family on them. That was until the christian element of Christmas became passe.

    🙈🙉🙊

Well there was certainly the African chap who was one of the three wise men on nativity stamps. Balthazar IIRC?

Directions to my gaff? Go straight down Equality Road, take a right at Inspire Avenue and it's the first house on the left at Diversity Grove.

Apparently you cannot call black people black anymore going by what happened in the Champions League game between Istanbul and PSG.

I'm just imagining a someone with a thick Brummie accent saying "Ee liv on Eeenspirayshun Strayt, where do yow liv, down Deeversity Growve, ees eet? ( apologies to any Brummies reading that)

Yeah that went a bit nuts alright. The British and Black footballist John Barnes who faced racism in the game when he was starting out called it an overreaction. As he noted if it was five or whatever Black guys and one White you'd quite understandably point to the White guy if you didn't know people's names. As an aside he always comes across as a very intelligent guy on many subjects.

This is everywhere now - marketing material, ads, etc.

You can sense somebody or a ctte thinking - we'd better put an African on this brochure / website etc.

I see this all the time.

    It is deliberate and planned.

There are two people with my name in my office - I’ve been referred to as the bottle blonde one, the old one and her with the nose.

My colleague as the anorexic one, the loud one and that one with the horrible perfume.

If colleagues were “nice” they’d be ages finding out which one!!

I actually think it was the word he used for 'that' in the phrase 'that black guy'. He used a form not used when referring to people and considered very disrespectful, along the lines of someone saying 'It was the Black' as opposed to 'it was the black guy'.

Current Vaseline handcare ad - four people - one black man, one Asian woman, one white woman and one white man.

There of course should be people of colour represented on adverts and others as reflects society’s demographic breakdown. But that’s not what happens.

How many mixed race couples are there with a black male ? Yet that’s the couple you see most often on TV etc

It was in his own language!!!

The wokies might hate that “negro” or “negri” etc are used but it’s the word for black. You can’t police foreign languages retrospectively!!!

What luck that a Senegalsese footballer, who has never plied his trade in Romania, could pick up that nuance in the Romanian language.

More like it spreads like a meme throughout government and advertising agencies and then they try to outdo each other. It's not some behind closed doors conspiracy or anything.

I'm old enough to just about remember the Black riots in the UK in the late 70's spilling into the 80's where it was clear that the second generation were being left behind and didn't fit in and were regularly harassed by authorities.

Well the authorities were stuck with these British citizens so to paper over the obvious cracks and just like America had before after their civil rights movement they pushed the diversity thing. First in government circles but then the media took it on board and then the marketing crowd did.

Any time the dream of multicultural shows itself for the not so dreamy reality it is, least of all for those who look less like the locals folks you can see this. And we're seeing it here already.

Unfortunately for the most part it's window dressing. And Black and Brown people well know it, because they live with the realities, hence the BLM protests and marches worldwide in a load of "multicultural" western nations.

The genuine "Woke" people who have the best intentions think, nay wish it'll change but it changes little if at all.

It wasn't about the use of the word for black. He used a derogatory form of 'that" only used for insensate objects, I tried to draw an equivalence myself to English as in someone saying 'the black did it' instead of 'the black guy did it'.

I had wondered about that, myself. Maybe he picked up on the tone of voice?

The ironic thing is that a member of Istanbul's bench was heard referring to Sebastian Coltescu as a "gypsy" before the incident happened. Not as much uproar about that for some reason.

Wrong place, wrong time comes to mind as well. There was an incident involving the opponents PSG earlier in the season where a Marseille player was accused of racially abusing Neymar. So PSG were more than willing to take this stand with Istanbul leading to the postponement of the game. It's possible that a walk-off would've happened no matter what in any case but it was always going to happen what with the residual bad blood carried by PSG after that game.

Ironic thing, again, is that Neymar was accused of making a homophobic insult towards the player who's alleged to have racially abused him. Again, not as much uproar about that.

Maybe the abuse of gypsies and LGBT people isn't as sexy and topical as the abuse of black people.

It's worth mentioning as well that a Chelsea player, Antonio Rudiger, accused a section of Tottenham fans of racially abusing him but there was no evidence found of any racism after an investigation.

Coltescu is said to have attempted suicide twice in his past. It would be a shame if this witch hunt encouraged him to try again.

I’ll take your word for it, my Romanian grammar isn’t 100%.

Note too no Black women. African American women commentators have long noted the White woke tend to ignore them in their hierarchy.
    .

In fairness, when you look at overall immigration into Europe, the predominant 'category' is young males (usually single), followed by children, and single women is far down the list. Families make for great press but the truth is that immigration seems to be driven by young males and unaccompanied children (the families to join them later once all the paperwork is done).

So, it stands to reason we'd see more of Black men with White women, than White men with Black women.

I'm only going by what was reported. As pointed out already, its unlikely that the player could understand that. Whatever was or wasn't understood, something derogatory was said about the player. It matters not a jot what language it was in. Derogatory, racist language and offensive all round, it seems.

I love the random capitalisation of Black and the very, very odd time White, then the fallback to normal (in every meaning of that word) spelling - ie, black and white.

Smithers from ‘The Simpsons’ went from a dark complexion, with bluish hair, to yellow with grey hair to little, or no, “outrage”.

That was nearly 30 years ago...

Chief Wiggum used to have black hair in the earlier episodes.

Chief Wiggum is also of Irish descent and the buffoonish womaniser Mayor Quimby is inspired by JFK but apparently constant pejorative stereotypes of Irish people and jokes about stuff like a famine (genocide) that killed millions of people are still fair game in animated sitcoms whereas characters like Apu have been written out and Cleveland Brown is now voiced by a black actor.

What are you on? :D There's two white men there.

To be fair, 2 of them are a bit swarthy. They may have descended from those who fell of the Armada in 1588.
So they're either from Galway, or token black guys.
