But we are counting them...but only Covid related (of or from? No one seems to ever know or be told) - they’re like bingo numbers for some- except nightly

He's not putting out YouTube videos as if it's simply his opinion. That's what's so dangerous about his nonsense. He packages it as if its an educational lecture. As if he's a qualified researcher in this specific field. He isn't. That's why people attack his credentials. It's as if Dr Fauci was a homeopath. Credentials do matter if you are pretending you are an authority figure on a subject. There is no "opposite side". Ivor Cummins is spreading misinformation. He is a charlatan.

As far as I know everyone is free and entitled to put out any message they want. It is up to individual to either agree with your points or not.
You still do not understand that if you have problem with what he is talking about then shoot on and try to disprove his findings or messages. Attack the message and not the messenger. You simply do not agree with him but it is based on your faith and not education, experience or facts. Therefore you again try to discredit message by attacking some imaginary qualifications.
One does not have to be a chef to have opinion about quality or taste of food.
Since I presume that you are not a qualified researcher in this specific field either according to your logic you too are spreading dangerous nonsense.

What do you suggest? Abandon all restrictions, open everything and hope for the best? That will very quickly turn out to be abnormal.

Yes and the quicker the better, it's the only plan we haven't tried, I've seen enough charts to know at some stage the curve levels off, were not all going to die before our time.
This idea it's not possible to look after the sick is a lie, The Government failed them first time around and now say it's impossible to do.
They've dug a hole so big they don't know the way back out.

We were conned, sooner people wake up the better for everyone..

No point putting seat belts and airbags in cars either. People still die in car crashes so clearly they are useless.

The science and bio-physics behind airbags and seat belts is undisputed fact.
“Masks“/face coverings on the other hand, no

Wearing masks in flu season is a good idea that would save lives.

Nit a lot to ask one would think. Just the right thing to do for folk ,

There is wearing mask and wearing mask.
Absolute majority ofthe people browbeating everyone in here about virtues of mask wearing are people who work in offices neatly sitting behind their desks shuffling papers and typing on keyboards.
There is no hassle for them to wear mask for 8 hours with exception of a lunch when they need to put some food in their mouths. I bet some of them may even dream about some mask which allow them to eat without taking it off or about how we all should have them even outside.

Then there is actual majority of people out there who do mostly manual work and do not have time to spread intelectual wisdom in the internet.
These people struggle to breath with mask on doing their manual labor as these things simply arent compatible.

Anyone who think that we will have mandatory mask regime for some long time is in for surprise.

    This debate in 15 seconds...

Jane: Sweden is so relaxed compared to us. No lockdown ever, no masks ever. No permanent panic stations. I wish we were like Sweden.
Billy: Are you mad? Sweden are terrible. They have many more deaths than us here in Ireland. Granny killers!
Jane: No they don't. Statistically more or less the same. Very few if any restrictions though.
Billy: You're wrong! Twice our population. Three times our deaths. Easy to see!
Jane: This is where you are wrong. Almost all deaths happen in the over 65s. Sweden has three times our over 65s. Bingo.
Billy: You're a LIAR. What about Norway?!?

    Jane:

Lol exactly. I would only change Billy to more fitting name. Like Karen.

We have been told that the sick are particularly at risk from Covid. I find it strange that the Chief Medical Officer wont wear one.

Shouldn't he, even just as an example to the rest of us?

No Fintan what you were attempting to do was show there was a direct correlation between deaths of over 65`s and Covid-19
What you have been consistently doing is using and outlier and attempting to dress it up as statistics.

In Finland alone, (a country with a higher percentage of those over 65 than Sweden), if all Covid-19 deaths were over 65 they would still be less than Sweden by a factor of 9. And that is not an outlier. The same is true for the rest of the Scandinavian countries.

Finland vs Sweden argument is moot.
Vulnerable or better said people on death bed in Sweden died contracting covid and those in the same situation in Finland will die as soon as they contract it as they can not be shielded forever.

He is not in favor of them, he's stated that a few times, Cillian DeGascun the same. They have their place, mandated for the general public is not it.
I've stopped trying to clean my hands going into shops, the dispenser has nearly always been empty for the last few weeks. We had simple rules that nearly everyone followed, we've made an absolute mess of things when we started over complicating things, will all these mandates, rules and pawning off public health advice as the law.

If you read what I posted it wasn`t just Finland. It was every other country in Scandinavia.

Have you any idea as to how there were 9 times more on their death beds in Sweden than any of the others when they passed due to Covid-19.?
    Seems very strange to me.

Seriously? You didn't see any images or stories like that coming out of China? People dropping dead in the street, apartment buildings being welded shut, huge pyres being lit, the streets being sprayed by army trucks etc? Seriously? It's actually difficult to be that unaware of current affairs but somehow you think you've the right to insult another poster. You must be one of maybe 5 people in the country with internet access to not have seen that stuff.

Look masks went on cases went up, that was Tony and Cillians fear, the general public are not using them properly, they are dangerous if you don't respect them and cause secondary transmission.
Tbh I've no interest in discussing masks, there's a thread for that which I'm gladly banned from. I detest them. They do not stop covid spread in the community.

look at any interview with the public on RTE, they are causing an itch which needs scratching, then long term wear means they are tugging at them as they speak.

WTF> Surgeons spend 12 hours n theatre and they don't speak really. Then when they need to scratch they ask a nurse to do so for them.. they have to be trained in using this protective garment the way a fireman has to be trained to wear a smoke mask FFS.

I saw lads in work today cleaning mouse **** and they had no gloves on...they had to be told to wear them and you trust normal joe soaps to use safety issue masks for surgery??? the Chinese have been doing it for years, they are used to it and trained.

    Ok then let me rephrase.
Every other Nordic country vs Sweden argument is moot.
Vulnerable or better said people on death bed in Sweden died contracting covid and those in the same situation in every other Nordic country will die as soon as they contract it as they can not be shielded forever.

    Just give it some time.
Perhaps, it may be easier to deal with pain and grief in shorter timeframe than deal with the same over prolonged time. Mainly when you realize that you will have to deal with it no matter what.

Case in point...in the full speech he actually pulls down the mask to cough in his hand, if he doesn't get a dose it's all the matter.

Of course they do a stupid dog would know that if you put a barrier between your mouth/nose and the outside world that it blocks the escape of the water droplets carrying the virus. Like it’s such a simple concept but some are so anti-mask and find such a simple and painless thing so much of an imposition that they just can’t understand.

Similar if you are wearing one and there are virus droplets in the air of course they will not be able to get though or at the very least be limited in how much you breath in. Simple basic logic you don’t even need to see all the evidence that masks make a significant difference.
