Anybody know if the guy from Adverts is still taking offers of €1,200?

Otherwise he's the only person I hope got cancelled on.

Ridiculous pricing and he was convinced that he will get it on 19th and his order was fully confirmed etc.

I also hope it got cancelled/delayed.

I dont mind extra 100-200 for an out of stock + high demand item but 700 is ridiculous.

For anyone who ordered from Amazon uk and had to use parcel motel because they wouldn’t ship to Ireland you can now manually change the shipping address to Ireland.

I'm not being given the option to change yet.

I'm getting sick of these sites being so bad. Had one from a game in my basket. Says log in to get your reward points. Log in, basket empty. Wtf? Went back all sold out.

I am really wondering how many units Sony will shift. If there are so few available they must be running into some serious issues.

Did that change the total to reflect Irish VAT? And also is the delivery date still 19th?

Yes changed the price slightly but still cheaper than using parcel motel as the ps5 will not fit in the parcel motel lockers. Also if using parcel motel would be very advisable to upgrade your insurance costs for lost packages. These ps5’s will be highly sort after and recognisable in transport. If you change your address to Ireland at least you have peace of mind Amazon will cover any loss or damage in transit.

    Are you on mobile?
I had to log in on pc and edit order then it gave me the option to change to my Irish address. It only offered standard deliver 3-4 days even though I have Amazon prime subscription. Although this was the same case with the PS4 and I received it on release day.

Will a PS5 coming from Smyth's in the UK have any problems working over here? PSN Codes or anything??

Most PS5s are console only(on release) with no downloadble items with it, so shouldn't be an issue. Log in with your own PSN id and you're good to go. Its not the end of the world having different PSNs either. I've a UK one as well, my current ps plus is on my UK account, shared with Irish, because the UK folk get much cheaper offers than us here.

Cheers Berty and Evilbart ....... just that another poster mentioned having a problem with PSN Codes on a PS4 coming from the UK. I haven't a clue myself, it's a Xmas present for my son so I didn't want any problems on the day.

It was me who mentioned it. It was my ps4 from game.co.uk that came with UK only game codes. I set up my UK PSN with a second gmail account use that to download them, sign back in with irish psn and play them. Few mins extra work.

Have had PS4s/Xbox Ones from all across EU and UK all codes worked fine here. Even if they dont, all you need to do is change country on system and it works - had to do that with a Brazil region code for Xbox live.

I can change my Amazon delivery address there now alright, but I have to change the delivery type to 3-5 day standard delivery.

Just checked email so nothing there from gamestop but I pre ordered in the shop so must be just informing people who pre ordered online. Hopefully they ring people and let them know if the pre ordered in store

Someone mentioned this earlier and I can see I can change address alright.

But seeing as they said "not available to ship to your destination" when originally ordered, would there be any chance they would cancel the order before dispatch?

Don't want to risk it if it's possible just to save a 30 second walk to the parcel motel :D

Obviously thats easier and cheaper but the problem is that it will not fit in locker and will be oversized so will cost about 15 euros and few days wait to get it home delivered or pick up at their depot.

Are there going to be any of these available on launch date anywhere or are they all pre-ordered until 2021?

It'll pop up in those random shops like power city and did. Harvey Norman haven't said much either and always the likes of argos abs tesco.

Are we likely to see much more supply between the launch day and Christmas? I haven't gotten one pre ordered and hope to have one in time for Christmas, but will happily wait until the new year if needed.

Going by gamestop today it doesn't look likely. But give smyths a call maybe and ask them if they are going to get more in

Looks like there may be a third wave

There will be a couple of waves between launch and Christmas. Some shops (eg Gamestop) have oversold so the subsequent waves may already be spoken for.

Other places (eg Amazon) seem like they just took pre-orders for the number of units they are getting at launch .. meaning they will open up pre-orders again.

So you might still get one, depends how motivated you are.

If only there weren’t multiple warning signs that ordering from GS was going end in tears.

Yea pretty much everyone on this thread has been warning about GS's bottomless pre-orders for months now. They have been taking €50 off people for a year now with absolutely no ****ing clue if they could guarantee them a console, they are a ****ing shambles of a company.

I guarantee you the staff will have nicked about 95% of the consoles in places like that.

Argos seems the best bet since they haven't taken any preorders. Their site will be f*cking chaos though when reservations for it do open.

Yeah and their site can update anywhere from midnight. It was suggested in this thread they might actually open reservations a couple of days early so worth keeping a look out but if it comes to midnight before launch, you'd want to stack up on the redbull and a new keyboard in case the f5 breaks on your first one.

For the Ps5 specifically, I'd hold out for a bit. They've made a big song and dance about the future of 3D audio and how they've enhanced the experience for the PS5 beyond normal surround sound. There will likely be compatible headsets on the way, but I know I'm planning to get the pulse one to fully experience this feature set.

If you're going to also use the PS4 for this headset, I'd recommend the gold headset BUT it always drops in price for the basic one to under £50 (see attached). If you want functionality beyond the playstation series, you may be better off with the HyperX though
